When Lucas told me he wants to be with me I was so happy until I see my mom with someone else. I kiss Lucas on the cheek and said bye.
"Mom?"
"Oh hunnie"
"Hi I'm Shawn"
"Yeah I don't care, mom why?"
"What I'm doing is the best for me"
"What about dad?"
"What about him?"
"He changed for us"
"Maya go home hunnie"
I just go home. My dad changed a lot since I came back. he's not that crazy psycho that I knew when we moved here. I feel like I can talk to him, he quit drinking and stop doing drugs. And my mom is cheating on him? One thing after another Maya why can my family life never be happy.
"Hey dad"
"Hey sweetie"
"Why are you so happy?"
"I got promoted!"
"Oh my gosh! No way dad I'm so happy for you!"
I gave him a hug
"So where's your mom so I can tell her"
"I don't know I haven't seen her"
I really knew where she was I don't want them to get a divorce or him beating her. So I'm just going to keep my mouth shut.
"Hey dad,"
"Yeah?"
"Since its spring break is coming soon, my friends and I are going to Texas. Will it be okay if I go?"
"Maya maybe"
"What if someone already bought my plane ticket"
"Oh okay"
"So that's a yeah?"
"Yes"
"Oh my gosh thank you dad"
"Okay since I got a promotion I will give you 200 dollars"
I just gave him a big hug and went to my room. My dad have finally changed for the better. It makes me feel like I can start hoping again but I know that hope doesn't work. So I go to sleep and text Riley that I'm getting my stuff and she text back saying to meet at the airport. So I hurry and go to the airport.
"Maya!!"
"Riles"
She hugged me
"Ready to party it up in Vegas!"
"Vegas?"
"I mean Texas!"
"Yeah, where's Lucas?"
"He went already he went really early last night"
"Oh I see"
I was disappointed, I wanted to see Lucas but hopefully he doesn't know that I'm coming
"Does he know I'm coming?"
"No"
"So who sitting with who?"
"Maya and zay"
"Josh and me"
"Chad and Brad"
"What about farkle?"
"He's coming but he's in first class"
"Okay"
We all head to our gate and it packing up the people now. We have a 3 hours until we get there. I just sit and talk to zay.
"So do you like Lucas?"
"Yeah I actually do"
"He likes you a lot too, he liked you since the first day he saw you like non stop talking about you"
"Really?" I laugh
"Yeah it got really annoying"
"He sounds like a girl" I laugh
"But your lucky to have each other, it's like how a shoe needs a shoe lace"
"That doesn't make any sense"
"If the shoe to look good you need the lace to fit the shoe you get it"
"A little bit"
"Oh we are almost there, look outside"
"It's beautiful"
The city was so nice from up here. I wish someday I can live over here.
"So is Lucas picking us up"
"No he's with his dad right now"
"His dad I thought he was in Europe"
"Yeah the military has 30 days off any day you pick"
I didn't say nothing i just look outside, the airplanes stop and we all go to the rental car. We head to mont belvieu, tx. It's so nice out here we arrive at Lucas house it's huge and it's on a big land so there are horses and the livestock everywhere.
"Lucas open the door!" Zay says
"I don't know you"
"Come on man" they both laugh
"Maya?"
I smiled and said "it's me cowboy"
He smiled and asked "do you have clothes?"
"Just what was left at my house"
"Here I got your clothes with me"
"Why?"
"Umm just in case you were going to come" he smiled. He grabbed my stuff but nobody else's and I just laugh
"Thanks for not grabbing our stuff"
"Yeah no problem"
We get everything inside the house and he smirks at me
"What?"
"Do you like my house?"
"Yeah it's beautiful"
"Beautiful to have a family in here some day"
I just look at him and smile. Josh is getting jealous so he finally said something.
"Dude stop"
"Stop?"
"Hitting on Maya"
"Well that's what boyfriends are suppose to do"
"Boyfriend?, is this true Maya?"
"Well he really didn't ask me, but basically we are"
He didn't say nothing but just got his stuff and locked the rental car. He looked so angry I hope that I didn't ruin his vacation. We all get ready to go to dinner with Lucas dad and grandpa, I get ready a little bit because I fell with muffin. I finally got done and I see Lucas staring at me in the door way
"Do I look good?"
"You always look beautiful"
He came to embrace me and when we were about to kiss, Riley walks in.
"Come on you two love birds"
"Okay riles"
"Coming hold on"
He shuts the door and locks it he put me on the bed and kiss my neck and I kissed him. He started to take his shirt off and he looked at me he came for any other kiss but then someone knocked on the door.
"Okay coming" he puts his shirt back on and he hugs me to the door. It was josh he looked so angry my smile just wipe out of my face. We hurry to meet his dad and grandparents because we were 20 minutes late. We see his grandparents and his dad who was just as handsome as Lucas.
"Dad I like you to meet Maya"
