*TERRIBLY OLD* Rise Of The Cats #1 Dreams

Chapter 13 (extra long! :D)

Swift watched, pretending to be asleep, as Lili snuck off and Dragonfly followed soon after. I wonder what they're doing. She wondered. Time passed but Swift still couldn't sleep, then there was a cats shriek, it sounded like it said. "rest ats tack!" (BTW its 'Forest cats attack!') And five cats jumped out of the bushes, two of the cats Swift knew, they were Fallen and Tree, and seized the four kits. Swift, being the smallest, squealed when a dusky she-cat, the one that had mourned Stick, grabbed her. Then a blinding light flashed throughout the forest.

Time seemed to stop as all the cats froze, bracing themselves and closing their eyes against the light. There was a yowl of  pain, it came from a single cat, as if the light was hunting one cat in particular. When the light stopped all five cats, along with the kits, ran to a clearing where Lili was laying on the ground with Dragonfly beside her and Fade was across the clearing with a strange white tom pinning him down. Lili looked shocked.

Dragonfly noticed Lili start trembling and he turned to her. "What's wrong? Do you know what happened? Do you know that cat?" He said with urgency in his mew.

Lili, who was still trembling violently, sat up and looked him in the eye. "A-a-a-avalan-n-n-ch" she stammered, then a shadow covered her vision, and she blacked out, falling to the ground with a thud. 

Swift looked at her mother terrified. "MOMMY!" She screamed, But the dusky she-cat wouldn't let her get down. Meanwhile as Avalanche pinned down Fade, the white tom snarled into the old leaders ear.

"The fragile flower you must keep safe. The landing bird you must keep lookout for. The sneaking cat will fly and join the fight, and the bright sky will be loyal above everything. The quick raven will hunt, and the striking pelt will protect. Then the swiftest wind will save us all.

And then Avalanche was gone, just like that. Fade just sat there, too stunned to move, a few cats came up to him worried he was dead but relaxed when they saw his chest moving. Finally after quite a while of just sitting there Fade got up and looked around. " Twist! I need you to help Dragonfly escort that... Cat?... To the camp." The young cat nodded his head and ran, limping on his twisted paw, to Dragonfly who was frantically trying lift Lili onto his back, but wasn't succeeding.

Coral came up and lent a shoulder to Fade as he weakly got to his feet. "Let's go home." She said quietly, and the whole group, including Swift, Sky, Raven, and Strike, went to the Forest Cat's camp.

Lili woke to the sound of dripping water, she opened her eyes and felt strangely rested, especially after staying up almost all night before passing out. "Finally! Your awake!" Lili turned to see Ice looking at her.

Lili looked confused. "How long was I unconscious?"

Ice chuckled. " 'bout four days" she grinned.

Lili gasped. "FOUR DAYS!? Where are my kits!?" She fretted.

Ice smiled. "It's 'kay their in the kit room with Patch and Cheetah, the kits of Dusk and Stick. Now that shocked Lili.

" Sticks k-k-kits?" She said.

Ice nodded. "Yeah but don't worry Stick understands you were just frantic from your kit being taken, oh and also when you feel better Fade wants to see you."

Lili sighed. "I feel OK now." She said walking out of the drafty-herb-smelling den, and saw Fade sitting in the middle of the camp.

The camp was a big dip in the ground and there were rose bushes around the edge so no cat could get in without getting thorns in their pelt, unless they used the entrance. The grown-up cat den was a giant hollowed out Holly bush, and the kit and mother room was a cave with a bramble thicket at the entrance with leaves woven into it, so the only way in was a small fern padded hole. The young cats she saw were sleeping in a den that was tree roots as the roof and vines hanging down on the sides to make walls, there were giant leaves on top the tree roots to stop leaking and the vines were so thick they kept out most the cold. She also saw the really old cats living in a hollow tree in the corner of camp, and what Lili guessed was the leaders den was a cave with fern growing up the entrance. Oh and the healers den was a tunnel in the side of the dip that ran into a small cavern.

Lili walked over to Fade who turned her way when she got to him. "Are you good to travel?" He asked as if he didn't care about a thing in the world. Lili nodded and he continued. "Then follow me." He walked over to the entrance and two cats Lili didn't know followed as well. As they walked out Fade flicked his tail to one of the cats, it was a tom and looked almost exactly like Bash but he had green eyes while Bash had yellow.

"I'm Ram" he said as he introduced himself "me and Bash are twins, so our mother made our names alike."

Lili looked at the other cat, a red colored she-cat. "I'm Apple, I'm Ram's mate" she said. Lili smiled at the couple and turned back to Fade.

"So where are we going?" She asked.

Fade gave her a look and replied. "Here." Lili shot him a questioning glace and he groaned. "This is the edge of our territory."

"What!?" Lili yelled. "Why am I here!?"

"Because your leaving." Ram commented.

Lili stammered. "W-what about my kits?"

Fade smirked and looked pretty evil. "They are no longer your kits." He said. "They belong to us now."

Apple looked sympathetic as Lili was forced out of the territory, tear filling her gaze.

Why am I so evil? Poor Lili :,( oh and if anybody wanted to know or was confused, Lili is pronounced Lily and I just now realized that four out of the five kit's names start with S XD. (Swift, Sneak [remember her?], Sky, Strike) so I hope you enjoyed! Sorry again for not updating all week :( I had major writers block and on the way home from my grandparents I decided to make in extra long chapter for that reason. So hope you enjoyed and the sooooooooo much for the 270+ reads! Love from Moon :3 (XD omg there are 1127 words in this chapter and AN this is the longest chapter I've ever wrote!)
