Chapter 4 - Investigation

IV - Investigation

In the middle of the night, Amaya woke up due to a sound coming from outside her room. She goes outside to check but since she didn't know any place of the Sakamaki mansion, she got lost.

"Damn it. I should have just gone to Yui's room," said Amaya to herself.

Just then . . .

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Asked a mysterious figure.

Amaya turned around, scared.

"Who's there?" asked Amaya trying not to show fear.

"MY QUESTION FIRST!" Said the mysterious figure in frustration.

"Show yourself," said Amaya raising her voice slightly.

The figure slowly stepped out of the shadows and it turned out to be Subaru.

"Huh? What are you doing up so late?" asked Amaya.

"That should be a question for you," said Subaru in an irritated manner.

"Well I woke up from a noise coming from outside my room, but when I checked it was nothing," said a confused Amaya.

"You too?" asked Subaru shocked.

"Yeah, you heard it too?" asked Amaya.

"Let's see if anyone else heard it," suggested Amaya.

"Okay," said Subaru as they both went around the house.

During this Subaru also showed Amaya the house in detail. When suddenly . . . 

"Did you hear that?" asked Amaya.

"Yeah, let's follow the sound and see what it is," said Subaru as they followed the voice.

"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" Asked someone behind them.

They turned around to see Laito and Kanato, who were also investigating on the sound.

"So you guys heard it too?" asked Laito.

"Yup," replied Amaya and Subaru.

"We have been trying to find where this sound is coming from too. Could it be a..........monster?" said Kanato tightly holding his teddy in fear.

"Chill Kanato," said Laito messing up Kanato's hair.

"Hey, is that Ayato and Yui?" asked Subaru pointing in front of them.

"Amaya, Subaru, Laito, Konato. You guys heard it too right." Said Yui.

"Yup," replied all.

"The only way we can figure this out, is if we quietly listen to it and follow," said Ayato.

"Okay," said all as they followed Ayato.

Soon they arrived in front of Shu's room.

"I think this is where the noise is coming from," said Amaya.

"Okay let's see," said Ayato was going to enter the room just then Yui knocked on the door for him as she knew he would never knock a door.

They let themselves in just to see a calm Shu sleeping and next to him was kept a microphone which was multiplying the snores of Shu and causing the sound. They switched off the microphone and went back to their rooms trying their best not to wake up the eldest vampire.
