Chapter 20 - No Time Anymore

XX - No Time Anymore

IN THE MANSION

"I got tea... oh you guys are back," said Yui as she saw the brother and Naoki in the hall.

"Yeah, we just got here," said Naoki with a smile.

Yui gave a smile back but it soon vanished as she remembered what all had happened recently between them. Bumping into each other, saving her from drowning in the pool. Yui kept the tea on the table and turned around to leave just then she noticed something.

"Where is Amaya?" Asked Yui looking around.

"Oh, she's lost in the forest," said Kanato holding his teddy.

"WHAT!!!" Said Yui in shock.

"Don't worry, Subaru has gone to find her," said Reiji pushing his glasses up.

"But..." said Yui worried for her little sister.

"Chill, Subaru will get her back," said a familiar voice from behind as it kept its hand on Yui's shoulder.

Yui turned around to see even though she already knew it was Ayato.

Yui smiled. "Okay."

"Now, let's settle for dinner and by the time everything is prepared Subaru and Amaya will be back," said Yui as she pulled Shu's and Laito's hand and took them to the dining table.

"Don't you feel a bit wired staying with 6 boys and you the only girl?" Asked Mr. Tsukino to Yui.

"Nah, they are like my brothers," said Yui as she faked a smile.

IN THE FOREST

"OH MY GOD SUBARU!" Said Amaya, as she looked at the wound on Subaru's arm.

"Chill, it's just a small cut," said Subaru with a calm voice.

"Are you kidding me? Look at this river of blood flowing from your arm," said Amaya as she removed a piece of cloth and tied it on his arm.

Subaru watched Amaya's worried face and asked, "say Amaya, why do you care so much?"

"Huh...well you are my good friend and I always help my friends," said Amaya searching for the right words.

Subaru just kept looking at Amaya as a small smile came up on his face.

"So, I think staying here any longer is a very bad idea," said Amaya trying to change the topic.

"Yeah, we need to get out of here," said Subaru looking around.

"Can you teleport now?" Asked Amaya.

"No. I think the reason I am not able to teleport is that I don't have much blood," said Subaru scratching his head.

"Well then, what are you waiting for?" asked Amaya with a 'duh' reaction on her face.

"What?" Asked Subaru back.

"Just take my blood and let's get out of here," said Amaya as she offered her blood.

"But..." said Subaru but he was cut off by Amaya.

"No buts just do it," said Amaya.

"Alright," said Subaru as he took a step forward to suck blood.

He lightly and gently pierced Amaya's neck with his fangs but made sure it didn't hurt. Subaru took only a sip of blood so that Amaya would not faint because of loss of blood. He soon broke off.

"You're done already?" Asked Amaya.

"Yeah, I don't need much," said Subaru trying to hide the reason from Amaya.

"Alright then, let's go," said Amaya with a smile as she understood Subaru's reason.

Subaru held Amaya's hand and they both reached the mansion in a blink. They entered the mansion to be first seen by Yui.

"AMAYA, SUBARU ARE YOU TWO OKAY!!!" Yelled Yui from the other side of the hall as she ran towards them.

"Yeah, yeah we're alright," said Amaya trying to clam Yui down.

"I was so worried about you two, do you even have an idea," said Yui keeping her hand on their shoulders. "Subaru what happened to your hand?" Asked Yui as her eyes noticed the cloth around his hand covered with blood.

"Oh, it's just a cut. That stupid tiger," said Subaru looking around.

"TIGER!!!" Screamed Yui again.

Everyone gathered in the hall after hearing Yui scream so loud.

"What's the matter Yui?" Asked Seiji as he came into the hall"

Subaru and Amaya told everyone about what happened and after the whole discussion, they went to their room to prepare for sleep.

YUI'S ROOM

There was a knock on the door and the door slowly opened, it turned out to be Seiji who had come to talk to Yui.

"Yui," said Seiji.

"Yes father, what's the matter?" Asked Yui turning toward him.

"I just came to inform you that your engagement with Naoki is next week," said Seiji giving Yui a heart attack.

"WHAT! But father I told you I need some time to know him better," said Yui.

"Don't you think 1 month is enough to get to know a person?" said Seiji making himself clear.

"B...But," said Yui but she was cut off by Seiji.

"Have I made myself clear?" Asked Seiji silencing Yui at once.

"Yes, father," said Yui as she hung her head.

Seiji left the room and Yui sat on her bed as tears soon appeared on her face. Soon the door opened once again to reveal someone who had heard the whole conversation between father and daughter.
