(Lightning's POV)

The morning sun shone brightly through my garage window. I slowly opened my eyes and yawned. I stretched my axles, trying to remember all of yesterday's events. I then remembered and I sighed an annoyed sigh. Jesse.

I rolled out of bed and went through my now open doorway. I thought for sure that Jesse had closed that. I drove through my garage and making my way to the living room. Jesse wasn't there. I looked all through my garage until I found a note on the floor outside my doorway. I picked it up and quickly read it.

Lightning,

Mater came by early this morning and asked me if I wanted to get breakfast from Flo's. That's where I am. Don't worry, I'm your sister, right? They'll never find out. Meet us at Flo's when you can.

                                                                                                                               Jesse

I quickly went to my bathroom to brush my teeth and freshen up before I headed out into the chilly morning air. I made my way to Flo's where everyone was chatting and sipping their drinks. I pulled up next to Jesse and Mater who were having what seemed to be an intense conversation. Something about one of Mater's older girlfriends or something. I wasn't paying much attention anyways.

A few minutes later, after Mater, Jesse and I had finished our drinks, we started making our way back to my garage. Before we made it to the door, I heard a familiar voice call my name.

I cringed and turned to look at the source of the voice. Sally. How was I supposed to tell her I was going to be gone in the Human World?

She drove over with her usual, beautiful smile across her grille, "Hey Stickers! What are you guys doing?"

I put a fake smile on my face, trying not to look nervous, "Oh, ya know, just going to chill inside. Nothing out of the norm."

She nodded, "Cool."

She glanced behind me and looked at Jesse, "So...aren't you going to introduce me to your little friend? You kind of shoved her away from me yesterday."

I kept my smile, "Oh! Yeah...that....um sure. Uh...Sally, I want you to meet my sister, Jesse."

Jesse smiled and waved her tire in a greeting sort of way, "Hi. I'm Jesse. His sister."

Sally nodded, "Oh, nice to meet you. Say, you two don't really look anything alike."

I became nervous, but Jesse spoke up, "Actually, we have different dads. Lightning's biological father was a Corvette. His stepdad, or my biological father, is a Mustang. Hence why we don't look much alike."

I nodded my hood, "Yep. That's why."

Sally nodded, "Oh, well that makes sense. Well, I'll see you guys later, I guess."

We all waved at Sally as she drove back to the Cozy Cone office, glancing at us suspiciously.

I sighed as we all continued back to my garage, "Thanks for that back up, Jesse. I thought I was going to lose it."

She smiled, "Eh, don't worry about it. I lie to my dad all the time, so I've gotten pretty used to it."

~~~~
We arrived back at my garage and we all gathered in the living room. Jesse parked on the mat and Mater and I parked across from her.
"Alright, it's time to make sure we have the plan in mind and memorized." I said.
Mater nodded, a confident smile on his face, "We is going to da human world and we's going to get Jesse back ta her daddy. Then me and you's is going to kick some Loster butt!"
Jesse and I looked at Mater, trying to process everything he just explained.
"He got the beginning right, but you guys aren't going to hurt my dad are you? I don't want anyone to get hurt." Jesse asked.
I shrugged, "I'm not planning on hurting your dad, but if he starts something, Mater and I are going to finish it."
Mater nodded, "Yeah, that's what I meanted."
After a few more minutes of working out all the details in the plan, I went to my room and grabbed the black box. I was almost out the door when I stopped and reversed. I got into my dresser and got out the box Scarlet gave me. Just in case I needed it in the human world. Whatever was in the box that is.
I drove out to the living room and placed the black box in the middle of the three of us. We all sat there, hesitant to open it.
I looked over at Jesse and gestured to the box, "You wanna do the honors?"
Jesse looked at me like I was crazy, "Uhhhhh....no. How about you do it?"
I sighed and pressed the button on the box. The portal shone brightly and glowed just like the first time we saw it. Just like last time, Mater jumped in. Jesse followed and I entered last. The darkness enveloped me again.
~~~~

There was a bright light shining on my closed eyelids. I slowly opened them and sat up, putting my hand on my throbbing head. Hand?

I stood up, trying to get used to walking again. I looked around, my eyes adjusting. I was a human again, no doubt. I had my fiery, red hair and my black sweatpants and red shirt back. I will say, I did kind of miss this.

I looked down and saw that Jesse was lying on the ground. I gently pushed her a little and she eventually woke up. She opened her eyes and looked around, "Are we....there?"

I stood up and smiled, "Welcome back!"

She stood up and smiled, "Oh my gosh! We're back in the human world! Thank you so much!"

She jumped in for a hug but instead knocked us both over and causing us to plummet off the side of the hill we were on. We landed at the bottom, lying next to each other.

We both groaned in pain, "How about...we just do a....high five." I said weakly.

She nodded, "Good idea."

We both raised our hands and did a high five and then laid back on the ground, trying to catch our breath.

After a few minutes, I stood and helped Jesse up. She stood and smiled, but then she frowned and looked around.

I looked at her, confused, "What is it?"

She looked at me, this time terrified, "Where's Mater?"
