Chapter 25

I later was woken up by my phone buzzing at least 10 times. I opened my eyes to that Kira had texted me many times. Some messages read something like, 'I'm waiting at the café you work at.' or, "Where are you? It's been an hour." I panicked and began to put on shoes and brushed my hair. My heartbeat sped up as I hurried out the door. I ran towards the café and watched as Kira walked away. I wasn't fast enough. Sebastian walked up to her and pulled her in his arms by her waist. I sighed, my heart crushed. I disappointed her. Somehow, Kira heard my sigh, recognizing it. She turned around and stared at me but continued walking as Sebastian pulled her along.

"W-wait, Sebastian. I called him here to talk to him. I know he took long but-" she was cut off as Sebastian growled at her. "I don't want you associating with an assassin," he growled. I sighed as I turned to walk away. But... I was hesitant. Kira wanted to speak with me. I was late. It was my fault. She wanted a talk. I will make sure we have that talk. I turned back at them and started to run after the couple.

As I got closer, I grabbed her and pulled her away from Sebastian's arms. Kira gasped and stayed in my arms, shocked. I held her close to show that I wanted to be with her. I wanted to hear her voice everyday, even if it's with a phone. I wanted to spend time with her. I wanted to talk with her. Sebastian glared at me and growled under his breath. I ignored as I looked down at Kira. "Kira, I'm sorry I made you wait for so long. I just wasn't in the mood. I'm here now. Please tell me what you have to say," I pleaded for forgiveness. She stared away from me and sighed. I looked at Sebastian as he grew a smirk.

"A-Allen... I'm sorry but," Kira started to speak hesitantly. "We can't see each other anymore. I'm very sorry. It's just that Sebastian doesn't want me to because he thinks you'll hurt me. He saw what you did and he wants me to stay away. I'm sorry." Sebastian's smirk grew deadlier. He took Kira back and chuckled as they walked off without another word. I stood there, speechless. 'Kira? You're lying, aren't you...' I thought...
