Chapter 16.

Joe's Point of View.

 "What do you mean?" I mumble, the doctors frowns. "The bullet is by your spine and if it even touches your spine, you can be paralyzed." He explains, "So you will have to get into surgery. Now." He tells me and Caspar, making me gulp. "Caspar, I love you." I tell him and peck his lips. "I love you too, Joe." He whispers, tears slipping from his eyes. I get rolled to the OR and get put under.

Caspar's Point of View.

I sit in the waiting room, waiting for an update on Joe. "Caspar.." Connor mumbles, I groan. "Don't Connor. Just don't.." I sneer, glaring at him. He frowns and stays to himself, keeping quiet. "Caspar, you'll have to talk to him at some point." Zoe whispers to me, I look at her. "No I won't." She sighs. "What about Vid-Con? That's coming up next year. We always hang around him and the others." She picks at the subject, I sigh. "I don't know, Zoe.. I just don't.." I tell her, shaking my head. She sighs, as Melanie walks over. "Hey guy's. Joe's doing awesome so far. He's keeping strong and moving through the surgery." She tells us, grinning. "Good." I simply say, getting up. "I have to you the toilet." I mumble, going towards to the toilet room.

 I come back out and the doctor is talking to everyone, as I sit down. "Joe is just fine, and you'll be able to see him tomorrow." He explains, I stand up immediately. "Tomorrow!?" I shout, making him  cringe. "Yes, tomorrow sir." He mumbles and walks away. "Zoe, I can't wait until tomorrow. I need to see him now." I say, starting to flip out. She puts her hands on my shoulders. "He'll be alright, Caspar. We'll come first thing in the morning to see him. Okay?" She tells me, keeping my worry down. "O-Okay.." I whisper and we leave the hospital.

*Later in the day*

I sit on our bed, watching some of our old videos, chuckling at some of the lines, we said when I stumbled across the video Mitch and Joe kissed. I frown, watching it. I smile when I see Joe laugh, and I shut my laptop,seeing out late it was and I fall asleep. "Look at how cute he looks." Alfie whispers, I keep my eyes shut, wanting to see where this is going to go. "I know. He's cuddling Joe's jumper!" Zoe squeals, making me blush slightly. "Let's take a picture." I bite my lip and I hear a click. "Shit." Alfie mumbles, and sit up. "Really? A picture?" I say, making him blush. "I'll delete it." He announces, I nod. "You better." I say, "Now get out, so I can get changed." I demand, so they leave and I start getting changed, grabbing his jumper and slipping it on. 

I walk upstairs and see them, talking. "How's Nala?" I ask, and they smile. "Better, they got the cancer out." Zoe exclaims, making me smile. "Good." I say, grabbing a banana, and taking a bite. Soon enough, we were finally ready to head out and on our way to the hospital too see Joseph.

Joe's Point of View.

 I keep my eyes shut, listening to Melanie and Autumn talk as they post pictures and stickers around it. "When're we visiting, your mum and dad?" Melanie asks. "We're leaving tomorrow night." Autumn tells her, kissing her cheek. I grin, as they continue. "You guys do know, I'm awake, right?" I call out, making Melanie laugh loudly. "I did, Autumn didn't. Do you not see her face.?" Melanie laughs, pointing at Autumn terrified expression. I chuckle and look around the room, it's all Christmas and festive. "I can't believe Christmas is next month." I mumble, looking around. "Do you always start decorating this early?" I ask, they nod, groaning. "We hate it." They say in unison, making me chuckle. They smile at each other, pecking their lips. 

"How're Caspar and you?" Autumn asks, looking at me. "We're alright. We're not fighting really, we argue over dumb things, like where the remote for the telly is." I explain, making her chuckle. "Sounds like Melanie and me." Autumn giggles, looking at Melanie.  "Joe!" Caspar yells, hugging me tightly. I hug back tightly, "I'm so glad you're okay." Caspar whispers, kissing me neck repeatedly. I giggle, closing my eyes, "I'm glad you're okay also." I whisper, kissing his cheek. Melanie gushes at us with Autumn, as Zoe and Alfie show up. "We didn't even finish parking before he jumped out of the car, running to see you." Zoe laughs, hugging me with Alfie. I laugh, looking at Caspar. "You're so ad--. Wait are you wearing my jumper?" I ask, making him blush deeply. "Maybe..." He whispers, and pecks my lips. "You're so adorable and such a dork." I announce, making him giggle. "I know. But I'm your adorable dork." He tells me, smiling.
