Chapter 23

Joe's Point of View.
I place Adaline in her crib, kissing her forehead as she gives me a small smile.

"You're such a pretty girl, you know that?" I whisper pulling up the gate of the crib. I rub her cheek before leaving the room and entering Caspar and my room. "Adaline is in bed," He looks at me and nods before looking back at his laptop.

"We can watch the movie after I finish this clip," He tells me, I grin and strip into my boxers then slowly get into bed with a huff. He looks over with a frown. "You okay?" I nod and pull the covers over my legs. He sighs and continues with his editing. I worked on my own laptop while he did his editing.

"You know we are amazing right?" I said suddenly causing him to look at me.

"How is that?" Asks Caspar, grabbing my hand.

"We had a baby," I whisper with a smile. He smiles back before kissing me gently. I kiss back just as gently. He pulls away and looks back at his laptop to finish editing.

"And finished," He said a couple minutes later and I look at him with a grin. He shuts his laptop and places it on his nightstand. "What movie are we watching?" He asks and I shrug as I shut my own laptop, placing it on my own nightstand.

"What are you in the mood in to watch?" I question looking at him with a raised eyebrow. He thought about it for a moment.

"Big Hero 6?" He suggested, I shook my head. He pouted and I grinned before I nodded finally. He cheered and grabbed the remote to the telly. He switched it to Netflix and turned on the movie. "Do we want popcorn or any type of snacks?" I nod and he lept out of the bed. "What do we want?"

"Chocolate and popcorn," I tell him and he nods in agreement. "Glass of water please!" I lean back against the headboard closing my eyes letting myself relax for a couple minutes before I hear Caspar enter the room again.

"I have chocolate, popcorn, and water for my majesty," He announces a posh type voice. I open my eyes with a smile. He places the tray that he had everything on, on the bed and sat back down on the bed. He cuddled closer to me and got under the covers with me. "Ready?" I nodded and he started the movie. I grabbed the popcorn and started munching on it.

Halfway through the movie, I felt my eyelids get heavy and my head to drop. Caspar noticed and paused the movie.

"You want to go to bed, babe?" He asked, I looked at him and shook my head.

"No. No. I'm fine," I lie to him and look at the screen and he nods slowly before unpausing the movie. I watch it for a couple of minutes before passing out.

Caspar's Point of View.
I watched the rest of the movie before looking down at a sleeping Joe. I smiled and scooted him down into a laying position. He whimpered slightly and I bit my lip but he stayed asleep. I moved the tray onto the floor and laid next to him. I turned off the lights and telly, then wrapped my arms around him protectively before falling into a deep sleep myself.
