Legolas
Gandalf, Aragorn, Gimli and I approach Edoras.
"Edoras and the Golden Hall of Meduseld. There dwells Théoden, King of Rohan, whose mind is overthrown. Saruman's hold over King Théoden is now very strong." Gandalf says "Be careful what you say. Do not look for welcome here."
A flag rips off the pole and floats down, landing near Aragorn. The company approaches the hall. We receive sidelong looks from the villagers. Aragorn sees Èowyn standing at the hall. We receive more suspicious looks.
"You'll find more cheer in a graveyard." Gimli says
Guards approach the company as they climb the stairs to the hall.
"Ah." Gandalf says
"I cannot allow you before Théoden king so armed, Gandalf Grayhame. By order of... Gríma Wormtongue." Hama says
With a nod from Gandalf, Aragorn, Gimli and I give our many weapons to the guards.
"Your staff." Hama says
"Eh? Oh. No, you would not part an old man from his walking stick?" Gandalf
Háma thinks a moment, gives Gandalf a knowing look, then allows him to pass. Gandalf winks and takes my hand as we enter the hall. Gríma is at the King's side.
"My lord. Gandalf the Grey is coming. He is a herald of woe." Grima says
"The courtesy of your hall is somewhat lessened of late, Théoden King." Gamdalf says
Guards follow Gandalf and our group.
"He is not welcome." Grima says
"Why should I welcome you, Gandalf Stormcrow?" Theoden says
"A just question my liege." Grima says
Gríma stands up and speaks to us "Late is the hour in which this conjurer chooses to appear. Lathspell I name him. Ill news is in ill guest."
"Be silent! Keep your forked tongue behind you teeth. I have not passed through fire and death to bandy crooked words with a witless worm!" Gandalf says and raises his staff.
"His staff! I told you to take the wizard's staff!" Grima says
Aragorn, me, and Gimli fight the guards, allowing Gandalf to walk to Théoden. One of the king's guards moves to draw his sword, but is stopped by Háma.
"Théoden, Son of Théngel. Too long have you sat in the shadows." Gandalf says
Gimli knocks down Gríma and puts a foot on his chest.
"I would stay still if I were you." Gimli practically growls at the man
"Harken to me! I release you from the spell." Gandalf says
"You have no power here Gandalf the Grey." Theoden says laughing
The King continues laughing. Gandalf throws aside his grey robe, revealing his white clothes. Théoden, startled, leans back in his throne.
"I will draw you, Saruman, as poison is drawn from a wound." Gandalf says
Gandalf points his staff at Théoden, who squirms in his throne.
"Aah!" Theoden exclaims
Èowyn rushes in and tries to go to Théoden, but is stopped by Aragorn.
"Wait." He tells her
"If I go — Théoden dies." Theoden says in Saurman's voice
Gandalf again points at Théoden with his staff, and the King flies against his throne.
"You did not kill me. You will not kill him." Gandalf says
"Rohan is mine!" Theoden/Saruman says
"Be gone!" Gandalf says
Théoden jumps up at Gandalf, yelling, but flies back.
Lyra
Saruman flies backwards in his chamber at Orthanc. I snarl and grin at his failure to take over Rohan and the king.
"You failed!" I says to him "you will never win Saruman!"
"Won't I?" He asks approaching me, where I am tied up.
"No, you and your master shall fail! And you shall not have my daughter!" I growl
Saruman then hits me across the face with is staff " I think not Lyra Lane, it is you and your mate who shall fail and my master will have your daughter and rule the earth" He says
"I will die fighting before I let you have her and use her to destroy the world" I snarl
"Well then you will die" Jarvis says
"And so will you" I say
"How so?" He asks smirking
"My mate will rip you limb from limb if anything should happen to me! He will avenge me and you will burn in the deepest pits of hell!" I say loudly
Jarvis growls and slaps me. He grabs a red hot dagger and begins to cut my thighs, I scream in agony as he does so, Saruman smirks and takes the whip and starts whipping my back as I continue to scream in agony.
Legolas
Èowyn rushes to Théoden, whose face begins to change, and soon he looks normal again.
"I know your face. Èowyn — Èowyn." Théoden says looking at her
"Gandalf?"He says looking at Gandalf
"Breathe the free air again, my friend." Gandalf says
"Dark have been my dreams of late." Theoden says
"Your fingers would remember their old strength better — if they grasped your sword." Gandalf says
Háma brings the King his sword and Théoden draws it. Théoden examines his sword, then turns his gaze towards a cowering Gríma. Gríma is thrown out of the hall, and rolls down the stairs.
"Argh! I've only ever served you my lord." Grima protests
"Your leechcraft would have had me crawling on all fours like a beast!" Theoden shouts at him
"Send me not from your side!" Grima says
Théoden raises his sword to kill Gríma, but is stopped by Aragorn.
"No my lord! No my lord. Let him go." Aragorn says "Enough blood has been spilt on his account."
Aragorn holds out his hand to Gríma. Gríma spits on it and runs off through the crowd.
"Get out of my way!" Grima yells
"Hail, Théoden, King!" Aragorn calls
Gríma rides out of Edoras. The crowd kneels before the King.
"Where is Théodred? Where is my son?" Theoden asks turning to the rest of us.
