Four Years Later

It's been four years since the War of the Ring. Legolas and I married again two months after Elarinya was born. A year later Thranduil stepped down as King and now Legolas and I rule Mirkwood. We get visits from our friends frequently and visit them often. Jarvis, who we reunited with two years ago now is a healer in our home. I walk towards my room, in search of my husband. I find him staring out our window, watching Elarinya and Thranduil chase each other.
"I'm glad she's playing right now," I say
"And why is that?" Legolas asks kissing me
"I have news to tell you and I don't want her to know yet" I answer
"What news? Legolas asks looking at me worried
"I just finished my visit to Jarvis-" I say
"Why did you go see Jarvis?" Legolas interrupts "are you well?"
"I'm fine," I say smiling "better than fine, actually"
"So why did you see him?"
"I'm pregnant" I answer
Legolas looks at me shocked then grins and hugs me, spinning me around.
"You haven't even heard the rest yet," I say laughing
"What is it?"
"It's twins, a boy, and girl," I say
"Oh, my gods! You have no idea how happy that makes me!" He exclaims kissing me
"We should go tell our daughter and your father, I'll write the others later," I say
"Let's," He says and we walk hand in hand to tell our daughter the good news.
