Lillian's Point of View

I lay silently my things curled up in my arms as I waited.

Eight.

Nine.

Ten.

Eleven.

And finally twelve...

My ears perked up as soon as I heard the door unlock not even a minute late, I stay still closing my eyes just in case it wasn't him.

"Lillian- Come on we have to go." Cam said his voice much more stern and serious than I had ever heard it before.

I get up grabbing my things before feeling them being taken from me, I was handed a water bottle and a small blanket.

"Where are we going?" I ask my voice a whisper.

"We're leaving, my truck is parked right outside the back door." He said as I just nodded and followed him my heart pounding harder and harder with each second. I felt his hand pull on mine, the halls were lit up by dim lights. It only took a few minutes before we were out in his truck, and finally on the road.

"Drink up and get some rest..." he mumbled, just by his actions and words I could tell he was just as scared as I was. So I nodded and did as he asked not wanting to make him more nervous and jittery than he already was.

I buckled up and looked out the window before taking a few sips of the water I had been given, shortly after I felt my eyes go heavy and everything slowly turn black.

I soon woke up my eyes opening slightly as I felt a soft blanket covering me along with something soft under my head, I sat up my eyes going to the tv that was in front of me, I gripped the sheets lightly as I looked around confused.

"Cam?" I ask looking around before noticing the open door that led into a hallway.

I felt my heart began to beat heavily in my chest, "Cameron!" I say louder as I push the blankets off me walking into the hall as I checked the room across from mine, now practically running through the hallway looking in each room. I was in a house I knew that much but where was everyone...

I feel tears falling down my cheeks as I run down the stairs and into the kitchen, I felt a figure hit mine and I stood back seeing Cam looking at me confused and worried.

"What? What's wrong?!" He asked, I ignored him and wrapped my arms around him my ears laying back against my head as my tail wrapped around him.

"You left me alone... I didn't know where you were, I thought you left me." I say tears still streaming down my cheeks. Why was I so emotional, he wasn't even forty feet from me yet I was terrified, to be alone. As I hug him my eyes go to the stove seeing it running, I raise a brow and look up at him.

"What time is it?" I ask before feeling Cameron's thumb run across my cheek wiping away the tears.

"About five." He said softly, "I was making dinner... You've been out since yesterday night, so I just let you sleep since I assumed you could use the sleep" He explained.

I let my eyes travel around the room as I loosen my grip on him, I blushed as I heard him groan. Was I squeezing him that tightly? I thought as I shook it off trying to act as if I hadn't been crying like a child.

"Do you like spaghetti, honestly it's all I have at the moment so it will have to do." He chuckled and bit his lip, "Also I haven't been contacted about you yet so they must not notice, though I'm going to have to go in and pretend as if I didn't know you were gone." He explained.

I nodded and then looked down, "Why do you care so much?" I ask my hands going to the counter and then to the large spoon that was in the pot. I hadn't seen normal house hold items like these in a long time and it was all so much to take in. I could tell by just looking around Cameron didn't have the money to just spend it all on me, so I didn't understand why he wanted to take me in.

"Well, you needed someone I guess." He started as he walked over to me taking my hand that was holding the spoon and gently began helping me stir, "Just stir it every once and a while like this, when the noodles are done I'll let you add everything else to it."

"Thank you." I whispered my eyes going to our hands and I nodded, I felt his answer was true but I knew he wasn't telling me everything. I decided it was best to just not ask questions, at least not right now, I raised a brow as I felt a cold breeze hit my skin. My eyes widened and I looked down, "Cameron!!" I pout noticing I was in just a big tee shirt.

"Where are my boxers?!" I say pulling the shirt down, it was almost to my knees so I wasn't too worried until I realized I wasn't the one who dressed myself.

"They're in the wash, you only have one pair so I decided to get them off you and wash them."

"You couldn't have tried waking me up?!" I say crossing my arms like an upset child.

"You were sleeping, I wasn't going to wake you up just to put your clothes in the wash. If you're so worried about it, I didn't look... If that makes you feel better." He said, though I could see the small smirk trying to show through.

"Lier! You looked asshole! I can tell you did... I hoped you enjoyed it because you're not seeing me naked ever again!" I say though I really hoped my words were a lie.

"Did not, why would I look anyways?" he said as he stirred the noodles.

"Because you're an ass?" I pout.

"I didn't look." He said again a he chuckled.

"Fine..." I mumbled walking to the living room as I sat down making sure nothing was showing. He was an ass... but I guess I liked it.
