Lucy's pov

I was in a bad spot,Mira knew about my feelings for Gajeel and Christmas was right around the corner,so I knew she was gonna set up misletoe and I was gonna end up under it with Gajeel some how.When I finally got home I took a very long hot bath and took that time to think over what I was gonna do.I could avoid Gajeel like the plague,or talk to everyone but him,or just not go to the party all together.I already knew though,that none of them would work,everyone in the guild has to be close,not split up through out the guild,and Mira would make me talk to him somehow, there was no getting out of that.As I sat for a couple more minutes in the bath I got really mad at myself for thinking such a thing, "leave fairy tail" no there's no way I would never leave Fairy Tail,my family,my home.I finally got out of the bath and went to bed glad that Fairy Tail was,no, is my home,and nothing could ever change that.

I awoke with the sound of birds chirping outside of my window,and decided that I was going to the guild early to help Mira set up for our party tonight.I summoned my celestial spirit Plue to keep me company,it doesn't take a lot of power to open his gate so I usually summon him almost every morning and he goes to the spirit world and comes back throughout the day to replenish his energy.I got to the guild about 5 minutes later and when I walked in I was in awe,the guild looked amazing,and it was all because of Mira's decorating skills.When Mira saw me she lit up and ran up to me asking what I thought about all the decorations.I told her they were great and asked if she needed any help and she said yes,because she needed to go home, take a bath and, get ready,so she asked me to put up some wreaths.I walked to the back to grab a ladder after I accepted her request and she left.I had already put up 7 wreaths and was putting up the 8th one when Laxus came over and tried to flirt with me.
"Yo,what up blondie?"He asked as I glared at him from atop the ladder.
"Go away Laxus i'm not interested and I don't think I ever will be."I said to him like I always did.
"Hmmm...your loss,"He said kicking the bottom of my ladder while saying,"Oops."
"Wooaaahhhh!"I screamed as I fell waiting for impact but I grew quiet when I felt a pair of arms wrap around me.I didn't open my eyes because I was embarrassed, I knew who caught me but hoped that it wasn't him but when I opened my eyes,"Thanks Gajeel."I said to the dragon slayer who caught me as I blushed at him.
