Brooklyn's POV, the same day that Carly and Caidence were shopping

I let out another exaggerated sigh as Romeo continues to poke my lower stomach, constantly asking questions about Caidence. I had accidentally let it slip that I had her number and I guess he assumed I knew everything about her.

"What's her favorite colour?"

OK, that answer I knew

"It's Teal, Romes... could you please stop with the questions now? I'm getting a headache" I pout at him, chuckling

He nods, sitting on the floor beside my bed as I stretch my legs out on my bed.

"You don't have to sit on the floor, I can move over?"

"Nah, it's comfy, and besides, who knows what you do on that bed" he rose an eyebrow as I splutter a cough. Man, he was only twelve and his mind was in the gutter. I guess he knew more than he should

"Brook?" I hear his timid voice break my thoughts of how the hell he knew about...that.

"Yeah?"

"Can I ask one more question?"

I groan "Fine, but only one. Then we gotta go help with lunch, okay?

He nods before speaking up

"Brook, do you think Caidence is pretty?"

My body freezes as my throat seems to close up, thoughts of her gorgeous smile and amazing personality blocking any normal train of though. I feel a timid smile grace my face before I find my voice and answer him

"Yeah... Yeah I do. I think she's beautiful, in fact"

I can practically sense his grin as he jumps on me

"I knew it! I knew it! yes!" He fists pumps before rushing downstairs to help our parents.

'Strange child...' I think, shaking my head in amusement, getting up and heading downstairs as well
