Chapter 2: Niall's POV

When I heard that man yelling at whom I suppose was his girlfriend, I thought I was going to pounce on him right that second. But once I saw it was Amber, I freaked . I thought I would never see her after last night. I, almost unwillingly, ended up fighting her boyfriend in the process. And to be quiet honest, she acted like I was annoying her. Last night she was completely different, although I'm assuming there were obvious reasons behind her behavior change. After she dropped me off at my apartment, I couldn't get her out of my head.

"Niall what the fuck is wrong with you? I've literally asked you the same question three times in a row!" My roommate Quinn says.

"Sorry." Is all I say as I turn to look at him.

"What's wrong?" He asked, not seeming concerned in the slightest.

"Nothing!" I say with a mouth full of popcorn. Quinn rolls his eyes at me and I punch his shoulder.

"Whatever. Layla and I are going out to dinner tonight." He said, and I just nodded my head before walking outside, avoiding further questions. No matter how hard I tried, Amber would not leave my head. But that was wrong of me, considering she had a boyfriend. He was a dick, yeah, but still he was her boyfriend. I was staring to light a cigarette until I heard footsteps coming towards me. I looked up from my lap, and almost jumped up completely when I saw Amber and a girl she was with last night. I cocked an eyebrow at her when she stopped right in front of me.

"Hello?" I asked, not sure if I was pleasantly surprised or annoyed to see her. Sure, she was hot, but her attitude towards me today annoyed the shit out of me.

"Hi. Listen, I don't exactly want to be here, but Macy made me." She said, and I wonder if this is it, her true personality.

"I'm feeling so much love right now." I said, standing up and towering over her.

"Don't take that to offense, she hates everyone except like, two people." Her friend, who I'm guessing is Macy said.

"Okay what do you want?" I asked, looking at Amber.

"I want answers about last night." She said, not surprising me at all. I laughed at that, the fact she seemed to come here only for herself.

"And why doesn't Macy just do that?" I asked, mocking her tone. Amber shifted her weight the her left side and crossed her arms. He face turned serious, which only made me laugh.

"What is always so funny to you?" She spat, almost yelling. I just shook my head and leaned against the wall.

"You never answered my question." I said, starting to light my cigarette again. Amber snatched the cigarette from my hand and threw it on the ground before stomping on it.

"Because for the love of god Macy won't tell me, and says you should!" She said, now yelling.

Her face was extremely close to mine and neither of us moved.

"It's a long story I don't have time to tell. And really, you're better off not knowing anyway." I said, rolling my eyes.

Last night was scary, I must admit. If it wasn't so bad I would tell her, but she wouldn't get over it too quickly. "Tell me god dammit!" She yelled, sitting on my door step and putting her head on her legs. Macy just shook her head and headed back to her car, leaving me alone with this overly emotional girl. I looked down at her, concerned but didn't know what to do.

"Listen, uh, Amber. I don't think you want to know. I wish I could say nothing happened, but you wouldn't believe me." I said, trying my best to comfort her.
