"Are you really asking me this?" Macy asks, an annoyed look on her face. I'd just driven to her house and practically begged for her forgiveness and for me to stay at her house.

"I have nowhere to go!" I yell, and wish I hadn't when Macy goes from being annoyed to mad.

"What did I tell you Amber? I knew this was going to happen but do you listen to me? No!" She yells back and storms into the house, but leaves the door open. I run after her and close the door behind me, knowing the worst thing to do with Macy is to leave her after she's mad.

"Will you listen to me?" I call after her, knowing she'll understand once she knows my reason behind me coming here.

I find her in the kitchen, pouring a cup of coffee for herself. She rolls her eye but doesn't says anything, so I take this as my opportunity.

I tell her the whole story, everything from Quinn coming back 'till the recent fight with Niall. By the time I finish she complains about her coffee being cold and starts to make more for both of us.

"Do you want my honest opinion?" She asks after she's come back with the cups.

"Yeah I guess," what all could she say? She's my friend, we think alike, and I've taken her criticism before.

"So Niall's friend has just come back, and from your very few and very vague description of Quinn, I think he's very much like Niall. So Quinn's going to this party, and he asks Niall to come with him, but for like the first time ever Niall turns him down. And to be honest I think Niall really had a gig, I do. So Niall didn't have anywhere to go and so he decides to go to the party. Amber you have to understand, I don't think he's used to having someone who he's supposed to care about," she says, and I suck in my breath. Macy has always been good at reading people, but honestly I don't think Niall was that innocent. I just shake my head and take a sip of the coffee, burning my tongue.

"Hear me out okay? Niall is know as a bad ass in this town, and I think it's a reputation he believes he has earned. So he's got this bad ass friend who now thinks he's a wuss because he won't go to a party. So obviously now that his schedule is empty he's going to go redeem this ego. And now he's at the party, playing some lame game when he gets dared. And what bad ass would decline a dare? Amber, I really don't think he thinks of you guys as anything more than close... friends. He doesn't think he belongs to you. So I think you should maybe apologize to him. He's not used to this," she says, finishing her coffee.

"Are you kidding me? He asks me into his house, tells me all this crap and make me feel special, and you think it's okay that he's being given a lap dance by some random girl?" I yell, slamming my palms on the table, making her jump.

"Yeah, I guess that's exactly what I'm saying," she says calmly. I sink back down to my chair and rub my temples with my fingers. I guess she's right, really.

'You have to make a big deal out of nothing! That didn't mean sh-t to me Amber! It was a stupid dare!' Niall's words replay in my mind many times until I realize that was his weird way of apologizing to me. Well, maybe it was.

I nod at Macy without saying a word, and grab my purse before walking out of the house and to my car.

I turn on the radio and blast it at a piercing volume, trying to drown out my thoughts. I think about calling Niall, after all I might not even be welcome there again, and for all I know he could be asleep or not even home. I decide not to though, chances are he's home and awake, maybe even drunk.
