Chapter 13: Niall's POV

Chapter playlist:

•You Need Me I Don't Need You (Live) -Ed Sheeran

I pulled into the small restaurant I was playing at tonight and sucked in a sharp breath. A sign on the door read the restaurant went out of business, as of last week.

"F-CK!" I yell, kicking the ground and the door. I had this gig planned for months, and they were going to pay me good. I walk back to the car and barely manage not to throw my guitar in the back seat. I pull out my phone and call Quinn. There's no point in spending the night alone.

"Niall?" He yells over loud music.

I tell him I'm coming over to the party and he replies with something unrecognizable. Only when I'm pulling into the neighborhood do I remember Amber. She's probably sitting at home, alone.

She can handle herself, dammit.

I hop out of the car and walk about a block until I reach the frat house. The house holds a different party every weekend, but this one is going to be huge. No specific reason, really.

The yard already holds a few dozen drunks, a couple making out and practically in each others pants, and the rest puking up somewhere.

The music is blasting inside and I can't help but think about how much Amber would hate it. I'm handed a drink right when I walk inside and I don't deny it. I also don't deny the fact that I'm getting many stares. You gain a reputation fast, and it never seems to fade. I slither through many hot sweaty bodies before reaching the living room where all my friends are at.

"Long time no see," Harry says when I walk into the room. I haven't seen Harry in months; I haven't thought much about it to be honest. I shove my hands into my pockets and nod slightly at him. He's my friend, yeah, but that won't stop me from feeling uncomfortable.

"Hey Niall, remember me?" Charlie says, slowly walking to me before pulling me into a hug. I'm taken back and stand there with my hands at my side while she hugs me. I finally come to my senses and politely pat her back.

Charlie knows I haven't forgotten our times together and she's playing me like a fool. She pulls away and walks to some guys side.

"Niall, this is Zayn," she says, gesturing to the dark haired boy at her side. I nod again and take a seat on the old couch. A few of my other friends that I haven't seen in almost a year sit next to me, and all I want to do is leave.

I know I should've gone back to the apartment and stayed with Amber. There's a reason why I haven't seen these guys and so long and the answer is simple. They come here to the frat house every Friday, get drunk and stay here all weekend. It was fun at first but then it became routine and now I've finally realized how boring it is. That and I can't go even if I wanted to now that Ambers at home.

"Niall we're playing truth or dare, want to join?" Charlie calls, and I can't help but roll my eyes. Truth or dare, the most unoriginal frat party game. But I agree to playing the game, obviously, and climb off the couch to their circle on the floor.

I don't pay much attention to the many dares and few truths, just take small sips from my beer and pretend to be interested as Harry is forced to make out with some ugly pig of a girl.

"Charlie, truth or dare?" Zayn asks from next to me.

"Dare," She say, grinning

"I dare you to give Niall a lap dance," he says, and I want to protest but I end up not saying a word. I climb on the couch and Charlie follows me, sitting on my lap and wrapping her arms and legs around me.
