Beep! Beep! Beep! Ugh, really? Why is my alarm even set? I look over to the night stand next to my bed and grab my phone to turn off the alarm. Oh yeah, I'm starting school today. Great, I just can't wait to make friends and have some good old fashion learning time (hopefully you can sense the huge amount of sarcasm).
I set my phone back on the night stand and sit up in my bed. I stretch my arms over my head and yawn. I rub the sleep dust from my eyes and start to consider what I was going to do. It was quarter past seven in the morning which meant that I had fourty-five minutes to get ready for and arrive at the school. I get out of my bed and walk towards my closet to get clothes for the day. I pick out black skinny jeans that have rips at the knees and a short sleeved grey, green day shirt. I grab a pair of under wear and a bra, pick up all my clothes and head to the shower.
I walk into my bathroom seating my clothes on the counter, turn on the hot water and begin to get undressed. I chuck my dirty clothes in the hamper and step into the shower. I let the hot water wash over me, feeling it wet my hair and warm my body. I quickly wash and rinse my hair and the rest of my body, and turn off the water.
As I open the glass door of the shower, I instantly get goose bumps as the cold air hits my body. I reach for the towel on the rack next to the shower and dry off. I wrap the towel around my head so that my hair can dry a little more. I get dressed and quickly brush my teeth before leaving the bathroom.
When I walk from my private bathroom into my room, I pull the towel off my head and sit on the chair in front of my vanity. I stare at my self in the mirror for a moment before brushing my damp hair and blow drying it. I have shoulder length, fire truck red hair which I decide to leave loose today.
I apply dark red lipstick, mascara and thick black eyeliner. I quickly put on a pair of socks and my black converses before grabbing my phone and bag and heading downstairs. As I quickly trot down the stairs I check the time on my phone. Seven fourty-eight a.m, that left me with twelve minutes to walk to school.
The schools about ten minutes walk from my house but that's alright because classes only start at quarter past eight. You just need to be there at eight so that everyone has time to go to there lockers or change if their first period was gym, or whatever.
As I reach the bottom of the stairs I hear snoring so I know that my dad is still passed out on the living room floor. A sigh of relief escapes my lips as I see him lying there. I tip toe past him to the front door and walk out being very careful when I opened and closed the door not to make any sound.
I walk down the four steps that lead up to our porch and walk down the stone path that lies in the middle of our green front lawn. I turn left onto the side walk and start walking towards the school. I pull my ear phones out and plug them into my phone. American idiot by green day started to play and I couldn't help but to remember that the song was by the same band plastered across my chest.
I walk for a little while longer until I come to the black gates of the place I would assume is going to be my new high school/second hell hole. I wasn't liked very much at my old high school. Everyday people would push me to the ground and kick and spit on me till they were satisfied that they had ruined that day of my life. Then they would laugh at me and leave me on the floor in a bloody mess. I didn't have a single friend and I was called names like: freak, fag, Emo, slut, whore, weirdo and the list goes on. I doubt it will be too different here.
I pull out my earphones and put them in my bag. I take a deep breath and walk through the gates. Almost instantly I have an unsettling feeling. I walk through the crowds of kids listening to them whisper and point in my direction, giving me looks of disgust as I walk past. I head towards the office which was really easy to find because there were signs everywhere that said OFFICE with an arrow underneath showing the direction. I reach a small building with a wooden door and a stain glass window centered at the top with the the word MAIN OFFICE painted onto it. I knock on the door and hear a woman call out "Come in."
I walk in and see a middle aged woman surrounded with filing cabinets siting behind a wooden desk with a smile plastered on her face. "Ah," she starts to say. I guess she must be the secretary. "You must be the new student, Kasper. Am I right to assume so?" She asks with a puzzled look across her face, but her smile soon returns.
I return the smile with one of my own, though it was fake. "Yup, that's me." I reply.
"Well, Mister Lambert, your new principle has been expecting you." Expecting me? Could she make it sound any more like a horror movie. If I walk in there and he says "I've been expecting you." as he turns to face me on a spinning chair, petting a fluffy white cat, I'm gonna freak. Yeah, I have a pretty wild imagination. I watch way too many movies, I guess. "He's right through that door, you can go right in." She says pointing to a door on the right exactly like the other one except this one had PRINCIPLES OFFICE painted on the glass.
I walk up to the door and knock twice before a deep voice calls back for me to come in. I open the door and walk in closing it carefully behind me. "Welcome Miss Carol." A man says getting up from behind a wooden desk. He walks up to me smiling and sticks his hand out for me to shake. I force a smile and shake his hand. He walks back to his chair and gestures for me to take the seat on the opposite side of the desk, which I do.
"Miss Carol I would like to keep this short and simple, considering that classes start in fifteen minutes. Your teachers will give you your books during classes and will tell you where to sit. You have locker number 184 and your gym locker is number 12 in the girls changing rooms. You should be able to set the combinations. Here is your schedule." He says passing me a colourful piece of paper. "Your first class is gym so you can just go down to the changing rooms when the bell rings. The changing rooms are two classrooms down and to the left, from there you can follow the other girls to the field. You'll find a new pair of gym clothes in your gym locker." He finally finishes saying. I take the schedule, "Thank you, is there anything else?" I ask. Once he shakes his head I leave.
I still have ten minutes before class, maybe I should go check out my locker. I don't think I'll need my empty bag or phone for gym so I guess I can put it in my new locker.
I walk out the office and start walking down the hall. There's the pointing and whispering again. Oh well.
