Chapter 5: Playing cupid is never easy
"Ms. Blake did you buy out the whole mall?" Peter, my brother's personal chauffeur inquired as he pulled out the 8th shopping bag from the backseat of the town car and I only sighed.
"No Peter I only hit a few stores. After all I never got to go back to school shopping." I say casually as he offers me a hand to help me out of the car.
After school Parker offered to take me home but, he said I'd have to wait till after his soccer work out finished. He said it would only be an hour but, since I had no homework or anything to do I decided to call Peter.
After all there was no way Parker would want to go shopping with me anyways.
"They do back to school shopping after winter break too? Wow I need to get in with these latest trends." Peter says more to himself as I look up at him giving him a strange look.
Peter was a chauffeur for the car company my brother used in the city. He was recommended to us by his favorite driver there and apparently now is our go to guy. I'm not sure about how I feel about him yet but, he seems like a character.
I got to the entrance to the house first and pulled the doors open with Peter in tow.
"Do you want these in your room Ms. Blake?" Peter asked and I nodded casually pulling out my phone as Peter headed upstairs to put my stuff away.
I dialed Piper Thomas's number and put her on facetime as it rang loudly through the empty house echoing off the walls.
On the 3rd ring the phone stalled and then two huge dark orbs filled the screen.
"Is this a facetime? _ How the heck do I_ Oh!"
The camera moved back on Piper's face and now I could see her large crest white strip worthy smile looking back at me.
"Lexi!" She squealed.
"Pipes!"
"Ms. Blake I'm leaving now." Peter interrupts me and I wave towards him.
"Bye have a good night!"
"You too Ms. Blake!" Peter grins then walks out with the door slamming behind him.
"Who was that?" Piper puts the phone closer to her face to get a better look of Peter.
"My brother's chauffer." I say like it's obvious.
"You have a driver there too?" Piper asks amused and I nod.
"Do you expect anything else?" I deadpan.
"You are nuts! So fill me in! How's Rothwell?" She asks, now adjusting her phone again as it looks like she sits in a red plush chair. It looked like the chair she had in her living room so I'm assuming she's home right now.
"Um lame. It's like every other private school I go to. Everyone's like OMG you're Alexandria Blake! OMG your boyfriend models! OMG your model friends are so hot!"
Piper's grin only widens.
"Did people really say that?" She wiggles her perfectly maintained dark brows and I groan.
"So no?" She sighs sadly and I laugh.
"It's just so, so high school!" I explain and Piper nods.
"Well yes, Lexi that's because you are in high school. What do you expect?"
"I don't know. People to be normal. I mean how do I even make friends if the only person I know well is a good looking guy with a girlfriend who already hates me?!"
