Ch: 6  Sass-hole?

The next morning I woke up to an annoying text from Colton.

Douchebag brother: Hey. I left an hour ago but wanted to tell you that Peter can't take you to school today. Because of the storm he had to drive me to the city instead of me taking the chopper.

Well so much for the personal chauffeur!

I get up quickly throwing off the silk comforter and heading into the bathroom with my phone in hand.

I shot a text to Parker asking if he would be getting me today and he instantly replied with an "of course!"

I almost laughed at his response. He's always so eager.

After showering I pick out my outfit for the day which consists of royal blue tights, a light blue polo shirt, a white blazer, and grey leather heal boots, along with the hideous plaid skirt (sadly).

After doing my hair in a loose waves down my back and putting on a light shade or grey eyeshadow and eyeliner I walk downstairs to make coffee and find something to eat for breakfast.

After exploring our cabinets for the first time I realize that Colton does not know what grocery shopping is because all we have is pods for the Keurig, a bag of lays potato chips, and Cliff protein bars.

"Seriously?!" I remark putting a caramel macchiato pod in the Keurig and grabbing a Cliff protein bar out of the box.

If there's one thing Anita can do for us its grocery shop. What does Colton expect me to do, starve?!

As I wait for my coffee to finish brewing my phone starts going off with Parker's name flashing across the screen.

I glance at the time on the microwave noticing that we still have almost 20 minutes before we leave so I hope he's not here yet.

After all I have to finish my 'huge' breakfast!

"Hey Parker, what's up?" I chime.

"Lexa we have a problem." Parker says sounding muffled through the phone and I sigh.

"What do you mean?"

"Well I parked my car outside last night when I got home and all this snow is on it and now I can't get the ice off my windshield and my parents aren't home so I don't know how we're getting to school." Parker says in a panic and for a few seconds I process what he says before I break out in a fit of giggles.

"Why are you laughing?! We're going to miss school!" Parker says dramatically and I only laugh harder.

"Trust me Parker, there's worse things."

"Lexa I have perfect attendance. I can't miss. Is Peter there?" Parker says trying to sound all chill but, clearly he is freaking out.

"Nope he's not." I say amused that I'm making Parker miss school but, then he just groans making my heart sink.

I don't want him to be this upset about this.

I look around the kitchen for anything that could give me an answer about what to do when I notice the clear blue bowl sitting off to the side near the hallway.

That bowl used to hold the key to the garage and I bet you it still did.

"Actually I can get us a ride. Be at your place in 15?" I ask and I hear Parker let out relieved sigh.

"Thank you Lexa! You're a lifesaver!"

"I know." I say with a smirk then hang up the phone.

I then walk over to the bowl and notice that the same gold key is sitting alone in it tempting me to go see what lies in the garage.
