Chapter 3: All Girls like White Chocolate Mochas
"So how lenient is Rothwell on skipping school?" I ask as I walked outside of my house the next morning tightening my gray parka around my body and sliding bright red leather gloves over my hands as I slid my Aviator sunglasses down my nose. I heard Parker groan as he got out of his black Ranger Rover with two steaming Starbucks mugs in his hands.
"Not very. And c'mon it's you first day." Parker laughed and then casually handed me one of the mugs.
I took it hesitantly. "You got me coffee?" I asked slightly shocked and slightly amused.
"Yes, but you only get it if you actually come to school for the whole day." Parker said jokingly and I rolled my eyes taking a small sip from the mug.
The hot liquid goodness slid down my throat warming my whole entire body as I realized that it was one of my many favorite Starbucks drinks. "How did you know I like white chocolate mochas?" I asked with glee and Parker shook his head opening my door.
"Because you're a girl and all girls like white chocolate mochas." He said like it was obvious. I was about to fight him on this but, then I realized that he was actually probably right about that.
I got into the car putting down my Louis Vuitton messenger bag on the floor and setting my white chocolate mocha in the cup holder. I made myself comfortable on the black leather seats and let the pinewood air freshner set in around me. I decided I liked Parker's car. It was very him.
Parker slid into the driver's seat and slid a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses over those gorgeous blue eyes of his.
"But, c'mon these uniforms are horrendous!" I remark trying to unbutton my parka but, since I had just put on gloves it was sort of difficult to do so.
Parker watched me amused as I continued to try and show off the uniform and then I finally stopped, throwing off my red leather gloves and pushing my sunglasses back over my eyes.
"You know what it doesn't matter. You've seen them. You get it." I say like its obvious and Parker didn't say anything and just started up his car.
"I have to wear one too Lexa." He said gesturing down to his navy blue dress pants and dress shoes.
And while he did have a point he actually made the uniform look good. I mean hello what guy doesn't look good wearing nice clothes? Especially one that is good looking to begin with!
"Well you don't have to wear a skirt." I cross my arms over my chest and Parker laughs taking a sip of his coffee.
"Well thank god for that."
I tried to stay mad about the topic but, after Parker's comment I couldn't help but, smile.
He noticed this too and I could tell he slightly relaxed. "Didn't you have to wear a uniform at St. Mark's?"
"No, we had a very laid back dress code. Which every school should have! I mean really uniforms take away our individuality!"
A smirk fell across Parker's face. "Trust me Lexa, I doubt anything in this world could take away your individuality."
What a Parker comment...
"Well don't you think you're witty?" I retort and Parker shrugged seeming to agree as we pulled up to a stone like structured school with a big sign saying, "Welcome to Rothwell Private School. An Institution that inspires young minds."
"An institution that inspires young minds? Ew, that sounds so sadistic!" I point out and Parker takes his eyes off the road to look at me with a funny smile growing on his face.
