Episode 6: Collin's New Pet

"Havoc Blaster!"

Firing three precise shoots from Bruce reduced three of Medusa's minions to ash.

"Hummingbird Gauntlets!"

Stacy launched a barrage explosive throwing stars in the direction of four more. On impact, they were launched into Lucian's direction. He shouted, "Dragonfly Knives!" In a rapid succession of slashes, the enemy soldiers fell to pieces on the floor.

"Tidal Harpoon!"

Alisha slammed her weapon on the ground, causing another three enemies to slip and fall on their backs. Before even one of them could rise back to their feet, Alisha had surged forward like a fish in water and brought both her fists down on her targets.

"Owl Bow!"

One quick volley of shots from Rachel blasted away another squad.

"Thunder Hammer!"

A precise throw from Collin took down the last four minions.

The Power Rangers looked around at their handiwork. For some reason, Medusa had chosen to send a strike team of her soldiers to an abandoned stadium. Yet they could not understand what her motive was. There was nothing of value to steal there.

"I don't know why," said Bruce to the others, "but I can't shake the feeling Medusa wanted us to destroy these guys."

"But that makes no sense," said Lucian. "What could she be up to?"

"If she's trying to distract us," said Alisha, "it can't be anything good."

"Oh, it's worse than any of you can imagine," a voice said behind them.

The team turned around to see five familiar individuals: the Anti Rangers.

"You guys again?" asked Collin. "Are you really eager to get beaten to a pulp?"

"Not this time," said the Red Anti Ranger. "This time we only came to deliver a message for you and your precious AI."

"The next time you face the forces of Medusa's Glare," began the Pink Anti Ranger.

"You will truly be out of your depth," finished the Yellow Anti Ranger.

"And when you all is said and done," said the Black Anti Ranger, "you will all be history."

"Adios, enimigos," said the Blue Anti Ranger.

And with that, the Anti Rangers vanished before their eyes. The Rangers looked around at each other, removing their helmets. All of them looked confused and worried.

"There's no way those creeps were lying," said Stacy. "Whatever it is, I have a feeling it will be worse than anything we've fought before."

"Well," said Rachel, shrugging in resignation, "whatever it is, we're not going to get any answers here. We need to get back and tell Ivan what happened. Let's go."

Bruce nodded, and like the Anti Rangers before them, the six Power Rangers left the stadium and returned to the cave.

Kronos knelt before his leader, his bowed in respect. "Medusa, we are ready to perform the incantation on the artifact. If we do it correctly, we will have a new and crafty ally to aid us in our fight against the Power Rangers."

Medusa nodded her understanding. "Very good, Kronos. Bring in the artifact and proceed. We have waited far too long for this moment. I do not wish to wait another millisecond."

Kronos called the artifact to be brought into the center of the control room. A dais had been placed in the middle. Hellhound and Drakon came forward, carrying the artifact together. They placed it down on the center of the dais. Then they moved to either side for Kronos to do his work.
