Regina

I woke up and saw the clock in front of my bed said that it was five in the morning but the light tapping on the door told me that there were visitors.

"Come in." I whispered, remembering that Snow was sleeping just across the curtain. A tired nurse wheeled in a screaming Ava and gave me an apologetic look, Robin woke up and moved to my side, fearing something had happened.

"She won't sleep without you." The nurse said on the verge of tears, and it was true, the minute I reached my hand out and rubbed her little foot she instantly stopped screaming and soothed herself back to sleep.

"Thank you." She whimpered, I just gave a slight smile and nodded at her. "Dr. Zambrano said that you are free to go home today, I just have to take out your IV." She said removing the tape and gently taking out the needle, Robin helped me change into my sweats and carefully walked me over to the awaiting wheelchair, all of the packed bags slung over him. The nurse placed my pillow on my lap and then handed me Ava who gave me a sweet smile once she was placed in my arms.

"Bye Regina." I looked up and saw Snow laying with her head facing me, I gave her a faint smile and waved at her. "We will come back and visit you later." I whispered, she nodded and rolled her head so she was facing the ceiling, I sighed and looked at Robin and the nurse who nodded and started to push me out.

I carefully walked up the driveway to our house with Ava in my arms. I could hear the commotion inside so I took a deep breath and cupped my hand over the side of Ava's face.

"Be quiet they're home!" I heard Roland demand, I smiled at Robin who gave me a quick kiss before he opened the door, I stepped in and Roland jumped out with a picture he had colored and held it out to me.

I smiled and blew him a kiss, he frowned and then crossed his arms at me. "They didn't let me visit Gina or the baby!" He pouted, I knew the hospital was strict about the age requirement to see the newborns so he had to stay with the sitter the whole time.

"Papa can I see her?" He asked with his big brown eyes, he chuckled and picked him up. "Maybe if you ask Gina real nicely." He said winking at me, Roland squirmed in his arms and faced me, putting his hands together.

"Gina may I please see baby Ava?" He asked sweetly, I smiled and nodded, motioning to the sofa where I slowly sat down next to Robin who had Roland in his lap, he moved his hands under Roland's tiny arms and nodded at me. I gently placed Ava in his arms and watched Roland stare at her with a big smile.

"Hi baby! She's so tiny!" He exclaimed looking at me, I raised my eyebrows and chuckled. "She is, but she's going to get bigger!" I said smiling, he leaned in and gently pecked her cheek, making her squirm, he giggled which made my heart warm, the sight of my children making my mood improve immensely.

"Roland, why don't we watch Ava for a little bit and make some macaroni and cheese while Gina takes a bath and a nap?" Robin said to Roland, he nodded and I took Ava from him, he leapt off of Robin's lap and went to bolt from the room when I stopped him.

"Excuse me young man? I never got my hello hug and kiss?!" I said handing Ava to Robin, flinging my arms out much to Robin's protest as he saw his toddler running towards me.

He climbed up onto the couch and buried his face into the nape of my neck, lifting his head so he could press a kiss on my cheek. "I missed you Gina." He said smiling, I couldn't help but grin back at him, cupping his face.

"I missed you too." I said before standing up, he hopped off my lap and ran into the kitchen while Robin placed Ava in her swing, setting the pace at low.
