Snow

3 months later

I rolled into Robin and groaned when I heard Ava crying over the baby monitor. "My turn." I grumbled, he helped me up and then fell back asleep.

"Alright sweetie, up we go." I said lifting my newborn into my arms, she started suckling on her hand while crying. I sat down in the soft recliner and tucked my nursing pillow around my waist, quietly feeding my daughter under the silence of the night, the dim light of the nightlight illuminating the room, she lifted her small hand and placed it on my chest, pulling on a lock of my hair. I winced and carefully lifted her tiny hand so it wrapped around my finger.

"All done." I said buttoning everything back up and burping her, she wiggled in my grip and then spit up on my bare leg. "Really? Oh it's the middle of the night." I groaned, this time she wasn't falling back to sleep like normal, she started screaming and threw up again, her little legs kicking in discomfort. I groaned and pulled her close to me, walking into the bedroom where Robin was sleeping.

"My turn already?" He groaned, I shook my head and sat next to him, wiping Ava off with her burp cloth. "No she caught whatever the boys had." I said tiredly, he nodded and took her, gently rubbing her back, making her fall back asleep.

"We will go to the doctors tomorrow." He said walking her back to her nursery.

"Okay Regina, she does seem to have a bug, we will give her an antibiotic because of her age." Dr. Zambrano said, I nodded and scooped my baby up from the large exam table. My phone buzzed and it was Robin, letting me know that he couldn't get out of work. I sighed and shoved my phone into my pocket when I saw Emma walking down the hall with her bag.

"Swan! Emma!" I called, she turned and walked awkwardly towards me. "Hi Regina." She said pulling the bag up on her shoulder, I smiled and placed Ava on the bed when the doctor came back in.

"I know this is last minute but can you help me with this, Ava needs antibiotics and I don't think I can hold her down myself." I admitted, cringing as I saw the doctor take out the needle, turning my stomach. My baby looked up at me and smiled when she looked at me, her little legs kicking in the air. Emma nodded and gently walked over to the table and held her little foot down, while I gripped her thigh, the doctor flicked the needle and then gently stuck my daughter, a high piercing scream spilling from her lips, she tried to kick but both of us had her pinned down with a heavy force, she rubbed her chubby leg to get the medicine flowing and then nodded at me, I immediately scooped her up and peppered her face with kisses, rocking her gently against my chest.

"It's okay, mama has you." I whispered, Emma smiled and pulled out her phone, grumbling. "What's wrong Swan?" I asked putting my baby in her car seat. "My car got towed, I parked it in the five minute lot and they towed it." She said scowling, I lifted the car seat and set it on the chair.

"Oh I can give you a ride, come on." I said walking out of the hospital, she quietly followed and sat down in the passenger seat, the silence uncomfortable.

"I'm sorry Regina." I looked over in confusion and pulled into a parking lot.

"You are? For what?" I asked, almost exasperated, she looked wracked with guilt so I stopped talking.

"This whole thing was my fault, I was so stupid and thought I could go to the Underworld and just bring Killian back, but it messed up so many things for you! Marian is back, Robin was gone for your whole pregnancy and almost missed the birth of your baby, your baby was kidnapped, and my father- well, you know." She said looking down at her hands, letting a tear drop on them.
