Chapter 14: Second Chance

Logan's POV

" Logan, love If you can hear me please listen carefully. Logan I'm sorry to have to do this to you. I'm so sorry babe but...we can't be together anymore. I'm only hurting you."

I heard the door open then Kyle hesitate.

" I love you." He said his voice strained.

No! I can't let him get away especially now!! I fluttered my eyes open and reached my hand out towards him.

" I love you too Kyle." I called hoarsely.

He stopped in his tracks and turned towards me, his face shining with fresh tears. I attempted to smile weakly but he just squeezed his eyes shut.

" I'm sorry Logan. We're over. I don't want you anymore." He said through clenched teeth then left my hospital room without another word.

I completely broke down sobs racking through my body.

" I'm here sweetie. I'm here." Kale murmured and hugged me trying to calm me down. I continued to cry until visiting hours were over and Kale was forced to leave where I continued to cry the night away.

I was released sooner then I was expected from the hospital and Kales family took me in until I had enough money for my own place.

The day I got out they had to go in and get all my belongings because when I went in, I broke down and fainted. It was horrible.

" You alright?" Kale asked as we piled out of her car. I rolled my eyes playfully and nodded.

" Yeah."

I've been talking to only Kale over the past few days but its still kinda new to me and even then I don't exactly talk a lot.

" Alright. I'll help you avoid you know who as best I can." She smiled weakly. I nodded and bit my lip nervously.

I haven't talked to Kyle since our breakup and to be honest. I'm completely heartbroken. I love(d?)him.

He honestly thought he was hurting me?!? It's hurting me even more being apart from him. I NEED him. I liked feeling important and loved. I crave that feeling now. I almost NEED somebody to make me feel loved now.

" Logan!!" Kale yelled to get my attention. I sighed and turned to her.

" Your thinking about him again." She sighed. I nodded pathetically. We've only been broken up for a week but I miss him like crazy.

" You'll find someone Logan." She soothed as the bell rung.

" I better go but I'll see you at lunch." She said and turned off into the opposite direction of me.

I sighed again and headed to my next class taking my usual seat in the back.

" Hey. I heard you were in the hospital. Are you alright?" A deep voice said from beside me making me jump.

" Sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I'm Jason." He said. I nodded.

'Logan and I'm fine thanks.' I wrote awalkwardly.

Jason was about Kyle's height, 5"6 tall compared to my 5"3 short frame. He had light blonde hair and bright blue eyes also like Kyle.

" That's good and I also heard you and Kyle Reid broke up. Is there a reason? Did he hurt you? You don't have to tell me if its too personal." He asked sincerely concerned.

'No reason really and no he didn't hurt me.' I wrote.

" Alright we'll you seem cool maybe you wanna hang out sometime?" He asked smiling. I nodded and smiled back.
