I recently came to conclusion that Izaya has BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder).

Idk Anyone who actually HAS BPD, let me know if this was offensive or a way I could improve. That'd be fine

"Oh, Christmas," walking calmly down the frosted sidewalk, having the feeling you would slip and fall on the concrete. The only time when night seemed brighter than day, the flashing Christmas lights, shiny decorations, dancing stars. "You Christmas. You Christmas."

"Stop." The informant grumbled, tucking himself deeper into his thick charcoal coat.

"C-H-I, wait no,"

"Please stop."

"C-H-R-I...."

"Oh my god."

"...S-T-M-A-S."

"I'd hate for this date to end early."

"Okaaay, okay. Mr. Grinch." You shrugged to him, smiling softly to his childish pout and cold, annoyed eyes. "You haven't even spoke to me as to why you, and I quote, "despise" this holiday." He didn't say a word, he didn't even look at you, just forward and cold. "Hm.. I'd think you enjoy the fake smiles and the once a year fake care towards the less fortunate?" Not a word, nor a look. You gave a disappointed look and face forward, upset from the lack of expression. "...I swear, the one man I can't read happens to be the most interesting." You grumbled.

He rolled his eyes and continued to be quiet. "You upset me from the lack of realization."

You didn't bother even saying anything, only continuing to look forward, actually a tad bit upset from his lack of "jolly." You focused on happy, bundled up children, dazzling trees, and eudemonic faces of couples. 'You're a dick.' You wanted to tell him that so bad, yet it wouldn't have any effect considering he already knew.

"Where would you like to eat dinner?" His sigh spills out, you couldn't tell if he was just trying to break the ice or if he was annoyed. The attitude was really starting to get to you, every fucking year on this particular holiday. You shrugged, not caring where to eat. "Unless you feel this time is a bit fugacious.."

"Feels very 'fugacious' every time your spirit is consumed by a Grinch." You smiled at him bitterly.

"And here I thought you'd be aroused with joy."

"So had I." Your smile turning into a frown.

"We can always go to the uh, ooh! Put cookies around that puppies grave, that will really lift some spirits. What was his name?" He smiles maliciously, snapping his fingers to think. The familiar tone and attitude of toying with your suffering memories was sometimes a game to him when he was upset. "Prancer? Right? Cause you know..." He looks to you. "He sure was lively. I mean not when her ran into the road, but still,... Lively."

The both of stop, looking at each other. One ready to burst with many mixed emotions. The other, smiling and enjoying the reaction he successfully came to life. You walked away from him, down the frozen block, your body heated of anger blocking out the cold. You wanted to cry m yet shook your head. You wanted to yell, but didn't want to make a scene. You wanted to destroy something, but you weren't strong enough.

You couldn't believe, yet you didn't believe, that he did that. You stood still, hands in your coat pockets, eyes glaring down at your feet. The realized that you couldn't take his words to heart all the time...it just hurts. Why is it so damn bright?

Looking up, only to be outside of an active book store, thought you might as well get yourself a present, as well as Izaya a present. Walking around took the mind off ease, grabbing a warm drink and lounging while reading a few interesting hard cover books. The Scarlett Letter was interesting, starting off slow yet extravagant story. Flowers in the Attic was drastic and bold. Lord of the Flies started even more slow, yet the characters was much diverse.

You close your book and set it properly back where you found it, drunk the rest of your drink, bought two books for yourself and a highly advance dodecahedron rubix. Izaya likes problem, but unlike others, he'll probably try finish this one. Outside in the cold once more, actually feeling cooled off. You check your watch and holy shit it was 10:35 P.M.

Back home, or Izaya's office, wasn't far, so you weren't entirely freezing when you arrived. You didn't see Izaya around, so you removed your coat and began to catch up on some late nights. Fifth teen minutes later, your felt your shirt being tugged lightly. "Oh hey. God you rubix whatever." You reach out for the store bag and tossed the rubix to him, continuing to look at the TV.

It was silent for a few minute. "You know I didn't mean it, right?" He asked, dryly. He came around to sit next to you, he just watch you. You continued to watch, relaxed to the show. "Please don't ignore me."

"That really hurt, you know." You sigh, finally looking back at him

"I know."

"No you don't!" He looked back, shocked, knowing he wasn't use to to being yelled at unless it was Shizuo. "You don't say things like that. Especially when you 'care' for someone."

"I do care."

"I know." You sighed, leaving another silence and you went back to the television.

"The rubix is... Um..decent."

"Yeah... I got myself some books. Not much on getting others gifts..unless you know... Its for me."

"Hm."

"I mean." You scoff. "You got me socks, and got yourself like, six DVDs."

"They were on sale."

"$53.62 my ass."

"Still pretty good."

"Let's just watch them together. That'll be our Christmas night." You smiled.
