I know. I know. I'm late.

She wasn't easy to read but you knew hard and we'll that she was becoming more bored. Parties weren't her thing but it meant a lot to you for her to show up. You grabbed two glasses and forced through the packed room of dancers. The dim room made it harder to see through the crowd yet the flashing and fading of colorful lights made it at least easy to know where you're going.
Able to get to the seating area, she wasn't there. Well not anymore. You groan placing the glasses on the low table, annoyed now, not that anyone would acknowledge it due to the loud music. The Weeknd is a good choice for a party. Especially if it's a party on a condo with strong alcohol, a good buffet, and expensive snobby celebrities. Never thought Yuhei would be wanting to chill with someone, despite all the sycophants.
Looking above the crowd, you didn't see her, Namie wasn't much for blending nor "obnoxious." Stretching your neck and failed to find her in the room though she was outside. You pick the glasses back up and carefully made your way outside, it felt it was getting colder by the days. "Hon."
You approach her, handing her her drink.
"Here you are." You didn't look at her, only at the city. Bright lights, loud sirens. You could see above the city, the crowd in the middle. You check your watch. Almost.
"I needed air."
"Or you were hiding." You assumed, drinking and hanging over the low balcony wall. She says nothing, only to drink and lean onto you, you couldn't help but to smile.
[10, 9] The crowd from inside and on the street chanted.
"Its almost midnight." She says.
[8, 7]
"Yeah." You chuckled.
[6, 5]
"I'm happy I've found you."
[4, 3]
She holds your head and kisses your cheek.
[2, 1]
"Happy New Year!"
She let's you go. "Happy new year." She gently says.
