I walked hand-in-hand with Louis to the limo.
Tonight was going to be our second date, and he was taking me to a fashion show, like he had promised me.
I had so much fun on our last date, so I was really excited for this one as well.
“You look lovely tonight,” Louis remarked, grinning at me.
I flashed him a smile. “Aw, thanks. You don’t look too shabby yourself,” I joked.
“Just shabby enough,” he played along, rolling up the sleeves of his blazer.
I giggled. “Yes, just shabby enough.”
He cleared his throat. “So I heard Simon and Carmen broke off the wedding. What happened?” he asked curiously.
“Yeah, Carmen was just being Carmen, unfortunately. She was cheating on my dad with some other guy, and was only using him for his money,” I explained.
“That’s too bad for your dad. I feel sorry for him.”
“I do too; he really loved her. At least now he knows who actually cares for him and who doesn’t.”
“So did you start to talk to him after that?”
I nodded my head, sighing. “He said he was sorry, but I hope that he won’t ignore me anymore, you know?”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bring it up-” he started, looking away disappointedly.
“No, no, no,” I cut him off. “It’s alright. I don’t mind, honestly.” I know Louis meant no harm.
He turned his attention to me again, his ocean-blue eyes gazing into my green ones. He gave me a half-smile, and grabbed my hand, kissing my knuckles. “Let’s not make this night about your dad or Carmen or a wedding that got called off. It’s our date,” he smiled wider. “Let’s enjoy it.”
I leaned in and gave him a sweet kiss on his cheek. “Thanks again for bringing me. I know these fashion shows can be really expensive and-”
“It’s ok; I just want us to have a good time together.” He leaned in closer and planted a small kiss on my pink lips.
His soft lips grazed mine as they moved perfectly together. He playfully bit my bottom lip and smiled into the kiss.
I played with the hair on the back of his head as we had a little song-session. Finally, I pulled away, but we left our faces close enough so that we could feel each other’s hot breath tingling against our skin.
My eyes fluttered open, and I started into Louis’ blue marbles.
“You have really pretty eyes,” he whispered, almost reading my mind.
I blushed. “Thank you, so do you.” I stated shyly.
He slightly chuckled. “Thanks.”
We pulled apart from each other when the limo came to a stop in front of a tall building.
I took a quick glance, and already saw a lot of famous people walking in. “Um, Lou, whose fashion show is this?” I asked.
“Ralph Lauren, why?” he questioned, still grinning.
“Oh, it’s nothing. It’s just that there are a lot of famous people here, that’s all.”
Of course a lot of famous people are here, dimwit! I thought to myself. It’s Ralph Lauren. It’s one of the biggest names in the fashion industry.
