“I have to go,” I tell Jordi once I’m back inside the club. “I’m going home.”

“Do you want me to come with you?” She offers, even though I know that she really doesn’t want to leave.

“No, it’s ok.” I say. “I’m just going to go home and sleep anyways. Have fun here,” I try giving her a warm smile.

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah, I’ll just call a taxi and go.” I kiss her cheek goodbye.

She sighs. “Ok, text me when you get home. I probably won’t be home until later anyways.” She says, as Niall, Liam, and Harry come up to us.

“Are you leaving so early?” Harry asks me.

I press my lips together. “Yeah, I’m going home. I’ve had a long night and I’m really tired.” I tell him. “I’ll see you guys soon.” I hug them all goodbye. “Tell Zayn I’ll see him soon too.”

“I’m leaving too,” Niall pipes in.

“Since when does Niall Horan leave a club early?” Liam jokes, a playful smile playing on his lips.

Niall jokingly shoves Liam, laughing like a schoolboy. “I’m tired too, and I think I’ve had enough drinks for one night.” He tells us. “Sammi, we can take a cab together.”

I nod my head. “Sure,” I give a small smile. “Bye, you guys. I’ll see you all soon.” I wave to the boys.

Niall leads me out of the hot, crowded club and outside in the parking lot. He hails a cab and opens the door for me.

I swiftly get in, and he follows, telling the driver the address. “So why did you leave early?” I ask him, smiling. “I mean, what’s the real reason you left early?”

He chuckled. “I just didn’t want you taking a cab alone. It’s dark out, and a girl like you shouldn’t be out alone in the middle of the night.”

“A girl like me?” I jokingly ask. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

Niall laughs again. “I just mean a pretty, young girl shouldn’t be out alone at night. It’s dangerous.”

I shrug. “Fair enough. So you’re just going to go home then?”

“Yeah, I’ll just hang out at the flat.”

“Well you can come over if you want. We can watch movies and stuff.” I offer. “I have candy,” I say in a sing-songy voice, trying to bribe him.

He smiles brightly. “Sure, that sounds better than hanging out at home doing nothing.” He jokes.

Once we got to my house, we walked into the theatre and started watching movies.

“I’ll be right back,” I say to him. “I’m just going to change and make some popping corn.”

He nodded, sitting down and paying attention to the screen.

I got into my pyjamas and brought snacks into the room, where I sat beside Niall on the sofa. “Oh, by the way the derby tickets that I gave you on your birthday are for the match this weekend.” I mentioned. “Just in case you forgot,” I said in a low voice, shrugging my shoulders.

“Right, I was going to bring that up. Would you like to go with me?” He asked, smiling sweetly at me.

I matched his grin. “I don’t know much about derby. Wouldn’t you rather take one of the boys?” I chuckled lightly.

Saying I don’t know much about derby is an understatement. I rarely ever go to matches, unless I am going with friends.

“No, you bought the tickets, so I think you should go with me,” he persuaded, “only if you want.”
