Chapter 17

Throughout the night I eventually let Damien come back in and sleep with me. Two screaming babies at 2:57 A.M. was too much for me to handle. I hated giving into him, and I hated it even more that he was so happy about it. He was really sweet to me all throughout the night he made me go back to sleep and he took care of the girls. Then when I woke up in the morning once again the girls were gone. I did not panic like I did before. I got up and went down the steps. When I reached the bottom of the steps The breakfast smell hit me. It smelt so good.

"Good morning baby, are you hungry?" It was so hard to stay mad at him when he was so sweet to me. It was like trying to slap a sleeping kitten. I was to exhausted to argue anyway so I let the "baby" slide this morning.

"Good morning to you as well. I am really hungry. How are my girls doing this morning?"

"They are doing great. I feed them, washed them, and now they are already back to sleep."

"I see that. Thank you for everything. But I am still angry with you."

"Yeah, hopefully with time you will get over that."

"I do not think I will Damien. It really hurts me that you could cheat on me. Especially with Stacy. That is what hurt me the most."

"I know, but I am sorry." With that he took me around the waist and kissed me very deeply. I could not pull myself away from this kiss. I could feel all the heartbreak melt away with this kiss. I knew after this kiss I would not be able to tell him that we couldn't be together.

As if on cue, the girls started screaming. I guess mommy and daddy time was over. We went to them like the perfect team. We had been doing this so long our teamwork was perfect. He changed one while I changed the other. We really were good together. How could I have ever thought about leaving him.

"So do we really have to leave today?" He asked with a pout face.

"I guess not. But, I do want to see some of my friends today. Just not Stacy. I think I might smack her if I see her."

"Understood."

He called the maid and had her unpack all our stuff again. Wow I really felt bad about that and said I would do it, but he wouldn't let me. He told me that I was on vacation. So I went and got myself ready and picked out the girls outfits so Damien could get them ready while I was in the shower. He could dress them fine, but as far as picking out outfits, he sucked. He once dressed them in pink and lime green poka dotted onsies with stripped orange and blue pants. After that I forbid him from ever touching the girl's clothes again. That is unless he is washing them or folding them.

We ate and enjoyed the morning with his parents. Then around lunch we went to town to see some old friends. I did not know exactly what to say to them since it had been so long since we had talked but I knew they would adore the twins. So off we went to his friends house who was now dating one of mine. We did not find this out till we got to Aston's house. We walked in with the twins to show them off and when I saw her sitting on the couch I almost dropped Hope.

"OMG Harper I did not know that you guys would be coming over here." She was super excited and tried to hug me. I quickly retreated.

"Stacy, I really don't want to see you right now."

Damien could see the anger rising in me and quickly grabbed Hope and put distance between me and her.

"Aston, I think that we better do this later."

Damien had me heading toward the door when Stacy had to say something to me.

"Harper, whats the matter with you? You haven't been home in months don't you want to see your best friend?" That was it I could not handle it. I broke from Damien's grip and was going at her.  She could not pretend to be my friend after sleeping with my boyfriend.
