*Saturday 1:00pm*
I get a call from the people organizing moms funeral and they say that they are going to have tonight at 6:00pm.
Oh yeah that reminds me I was going to have a sleepover with Lexi, I guess I will have to cancel but I know she will understand.
"Hey Elena, can't wait to see you tonight!!"
"Yeah look about that, I can't I'm so sorry but this is the night of my moms funeral and I can't miss it."
"It's ok I totally understand, I'll see you at school on Monday bye."
Then she hangs up.
I'm so glad that she understands three would have been way to much drama if she made a big deal out of it.
*5:40pm*
For my moms funeral I put on a beautiful black dress that used to be hers and some black pumps.
"Ok Elena you can do this your only going to the funeral of your last alive parent."
After I had that little chit-chat with myself I started bursting in tears.
After a couple minutes I get ahold of myself get Nick and head to the funeral.
*6:10 At The Funeral*
When I get to the funeral I know I can't do it, I can't sit through her funeral because if I do I'll have to let go of her I'll have to move on.
So I quietly and very secretively sneak out of the funeral and go to the woods beside it and sit there balling my eyes out when I see someone walking towards me.
"Aunt Jessica what are you doing here?"
"And what are you doing in the woods?"
"Answer my question first."
"Ok, fine. If here to because I am now your legal guardian."
"Wow that will take some getting used to "
Yeah for me to. Now it's your turn to answer my question."
"I just couldn't stand being at the funeral it made me feel like she's really gone and never coming back and I don't want to feel like that, I don't want to have to let her go."
"I know Elena, but eventually you will have to move on. Now come on I think the funerals done."
"Ok."
I eat off the dirty ground and follow he back to the funeral.
We grab Nick and take him back home and explain that Jessica is now our legal guardian.
*8:00*
"Jessica I need to talk to someone about something that going on can you be that someone?"
"Of course."
"So there's this guy that I've been hanging out with and I know he's keeping a secret from me but he won't tell me his secret and I he invited me over to talk about it tomorrow. But I don't know if it's going to be lies or the truth."
"You might not know if it is true or not true but you have to decide for yourself what you believe and that decision will effect your future so make sure it's the one you want to make."
"Thanks so much Aunt Jessica you always have given me the best advice."
I hug her tightly then let go and smile at her.
