Power Couple

Chapter 1

Jodi's P.O.V.

Wake up. Get dressed. Go to work. I did that everyday for so long. I worked along side my best friend for so many years. We work in a business building. Answering calls and doing chores for the boss. The elevator doors opened up and I walked out as I walked to my desk

"Hey girl get any rest?"

I turned to see my best friend Victoria but everyone calls her Tori

"Ugh barely I stayed up so late getting all this paperwork done for the boss" I said getting out the mount of paperwork out from my bag

"Girl we need a night out or something" Tori said

I chuckled "Your telling me. Oh are we still on for tonight?"

"Oh hell yea. I wouldn't miss this game for the world. Especially since the tickets are so close to the court"

"I know I'm so excited"

"Jodi Hills"

I sighed then turned around "Yes boss"

"Coffee run, now"

"Yes sir. And I have your paperwork right here" I said as I grabbed the paperwork and handed it to him

"Thank you" He said as he walked away

"Want me to go?" Tori asked as I turned back around to her

"No I got it. You want anything?"

"No I'm good. Be careful though" She said

"I will" I turned around and walked towards the elevator

I hoped into my car and headed to the coffee shop. Once I got there I got down and headed inside. I waited in line checking my phone. I ordered coffee for me, the boss and his assistant. Which makes no sense to me because his assistant should be doing all of this not me. The lady quickly made mine and I began to put my money away when a guy began to order a snack to go. Before I closed my purse I pulled out a couple dollars and handed them to the cash register. She looked confused but she took it anyway and grabbed the food for him

"Oh you didn't have to do that really" The guy said

I closed my purse and grabbed the tray that had the coffees "It's okay. My good deed of the day" I smiled before walking to the door

I opened the door and began walking to my car

"Hey wait up"

I turned around to see the guy run up to me. He reached into his pocket and grabbed a couple bucks before handing them to me

I simply shook my head "No it's okay"

"Come on you didn't have to pay" He said

"Seriously. It's a good deed to do" I smiled

He nodded and put the money back in his pocket before holding out his hand "I'm Kawhi, Leonard"

I shook his hand "Jodi, Hills"
