Chapter 13

Jodi's P.O.V.

It's been a week now. I'm finally home, but alone, Kawhi is playing out of town. Well I'm not alone exactly. Tori is here. And she hasn't left my side. I sat in the couch with my laptop on my lap. I was scrolling through Facebook when Tori walked over and sat on the couch

"What's up?" She asked looking at me

"Just scrolling through Facebook" I said keeping my eyes on the laptop screen

She pushed the screen down with her finger. I moved my hands away as she closed the laptop "What?" I asked looking at her

"Your depressing yourself"

I crossed my arms "I'm not depressing myself"

"Jodi, you basically haven't gotten up from this couch since you came home from the hospital"

"You know I can ask you the same thing"

She flinched her head back "What's that suppose to mean?"

"Tori you haven't left my side ever since the hospital"

"Girl please you know the reason why"

I sighed "Which I will be fine, don't worry. Go home get some rest" I gasp "Here's an idea, go to work"

She rolled her eyes "Quick question, are you on your period?"

I hit her with the pillow "What? No!"

She laughed "Just askin with your attitude"

I chuckled "Yea, yea"

The next day Kawhi came home. He had two games to play here at home before heading on the road again. I was sitting on the couch again flipping through the channels while he was taking a shower

"Hey" Kawhi said sitting next to me and putting him arm around me

"How was the shower?" I asked

"Good, it feels good to be home"

I patted his leg "Well you can rest, for a couple days at least"

"Yea, maybe in the next road trip you can come with us"

I looked at him "Yea, that'd be fun"

"Where's Tori?" He asked

"She left when you were in the shower"

He nodded. I turned off the tv when I realized there was really nothing on "So, do you remember? About what happened that night?"

I thought for a second "No, not really"

"Jodi, are you telling me the truth"

I looked at him "Yea, I don't remember anything"

"Come on, don't lie to me"

"Why would I lie to you?" I asked

"Because you are. Tori told me that you remember what happened. You told her everything"

I looked down "But you said you didn't want to know"

"I never said that, but why would you lie to me. Whenever I asked you said you couldn't remember"

I sighed "I'm sorry, babe. But I don't want to talk about it"

"Why not?"

I stood up from the couch "Because, I just don't"

He sat up straight "But you can tell Tori, and Danny, and everybody else on the team. But not me?"

I sighed and scratched my forehead for a second "You know what happened. I got stabbed by a psychotic person and I almost died at the hospital, I was in a coma for three months you know what happened"

"But I don't know what happened before that"

"I told you I don't want to talk about it"

"But yet you can talk to this about everyone else but me" His voice was deep but stern

I rolled my eyes "Seriously Kawhi I just don't want to talk about this right now"

He stood up "Your being ridiculous"

"I'm being ridiculous? I'm just saying I don't want to talk about it"

"You mean you don't want to talk about it with me? What's so bad about it?"

I took a couple steps back "I just don't want to talk about it! Leave it alone"

"Leave it alone? You almost died!" His voice was becoming stronger "How the hell am I suppose to leave that alone?!"

I rolled my eyes "You know what" I turned around and held my hand up "I'm not going to do this. I'm done" I began to walk towards

"Jodi, what are you doing?"

I still walked to the door "I told you I'm not doing this, your being so ridiculous right now"

"I'm being ridiculous? Jodi your the one being ridiculous right now"

"I can't do this, anymore"

"Are you serious? Your saying it's over just because you don't want to tell me? Your being so over dramatic right now!"

"I literally just can't take this anymore" I grabbed the door handle and opened it. I walked out without looking back and slammed the door behind me

Before I could take another step I felt all the emotions hit me. I couldn't believe what just happened. I set foot and began to run, run without looking back. I didn't have anything on me, not my phone, keys, clothes, not anything. I kept running and running until I hit Tori's house. Thankfully it wasn't that far. Once I got there I knocked and knocked over and over rapidly

Tori finally opened the door a couple seconds later "Jodi?"

"Can.. Can.. I, come in?" I asked panting

"Yea, yea come in" She moved aside and I walked in "Jodi what's going on?" She asked closing the door and turning to me

I couldn't help it, the hot tears were coming up "We're done, it's over"

She had a look on her face of disbelief "What? What are you talking about? What happened?"

I couldn't speak, I felt like I was hyperventilating. And even more so when the tears were just spilling out "It's over.."
