Kawhi's P.O.V.
"No way did you really do that?" I asked
She nodded "And they chased me for blocks but since my brother helped me with training I ran for so long and didn't get caught"
I laughed "Wow, that's unbelievable"
She nodded "Yea"
This girl is so amazing, we spent hours just walking and talking, we got to know each other so well. My phone kept buzzing and buzzing but I kept ignoring. Then it buzzed once again
"Kawhi aren't you gonna get that?" She asked
I shook my head "Not important"
"Come on Kawhi someone keeps calling you, pick it up"
I nervously chuckled and grabbed my phone "Hello"
"Kawhi where are you?" Tim Duncan asked
"What do you mean Pop said we can have half the day off" I said
"Yes but practice starts in 10 minutes"
I covered my face with my large hand "Alright I'm on my way" I hung up and put the phone back in my pocket
"Everything okay?" She asked
"I lost track of time. Practice starts in like 10 minutes"
She nodded "Okay yea go ahead"
I hesitated "Can I have your number? I would love to see you again"
She looked down and smiled then looked back up at me "Sure"
I took my phone back out and went straight to contacts
"956-587-1465"
I nodded "I will call you later" I said as I began to walk away
"Okay, be safe driving. Have a good practice"
"Thanks!" I yelled as I ran to my car and drove to practice
One minute early. Good. I full speed went into the locker room changed and went outside to everyone warming up. I grabbed a basketball and did the same
"Hey man where you been your never late to practice" Danny said
"I uh just ran late it happens"
He looked at me "Ohhh I see you were with that girl weren't you" He said as he took a shot to the basket
I chucked "Yea, been with her all day"
"My man, so what's her name?"
"Jodi, Hills"
"I gotta meet this girl who's making you smile so much" Danny said as he dribbled the basketball and walked away
I chuckled as Pop came out and we began practice. Normally I would go to the gym for half the day but I couldn't pass up being with Jodi. The practice went by quickly. After changing I went to my car and dialed Jodi. Pick up, pick up. I thought
