8: no looking back

It was dark.... Slow breathing.... Barely able to move or even breathe... Foot steps... Quiet ones... He fell to his knees.. And gently picked her up. She then coughed up blood and opened her eyes
"J-jiraiya-s-Sama" she whispered. Jiraiya looked around and then back down at her "I....can't go back....to that village..." She whispered.. The sannin was just able to hear her. But he nodded and put her on his back.
"You just destroyed kakashi" jiraiya stated.. She looked away from the village
"And...I will... Always regret it" she whispered... Jiraiya then walked away... Leaving the battle field... With the girl... A girl who was barely alive....

He kept punching... It would be his first mission after itami's death..... He was determined to stay to the mission and protect what teammates he had left.... He didn't want to lose anyone... Not now not ever.. Of course in the ninja world it's quite hard. Kakashi growled and punched his fist through the tree... Trying to getting his anger out but it was endless.. An endless stream of emotions, he didn't allow himself to just except it. He continued punching even in the tree was basically destroyed... His friends.., the group watched him sadly.. He was wreck.. He didn't care that they were watching.. It was important that he would just go ballistic on any of the enemy... Or any of his teammates.. He needed to get his anger out but he just couldn't... The burning hatred for the ones who killed his girlfriend and the overwhelming guilt of not being able to save yet another member of his original team tore him part..

Jiriaya walked through the forest.. Itami had fallen asleep... Is what he thought.. But really she had passed out from blood loss... It was a nightmare to the sannin to see his student in the condition she was in.. He then found the hotel he was staying in... In a small village.. A village that he had been to many times to relax... He entered a house and sighed
"Likoro! Help me here!"
"Coming!" A boy shouted smiling, he was only a few years younger then Itami herself... Jiriaya laid his students down..
"I'll go get the medical!" Likoro shouted. Jiriaya sat beside his student,, cleaning the blood and sighing
"Your heart stopped for a bit Itami.... I think that's what scared him the most.. He probably thinks your dead" Jiriaya explained, Itami nodded slightly, she had regained consciousness a few seconds ago and was sitting up the best she could..
"I know.., I'd prefer it stay like that... Those ninja that attacked us on our way there..." She then coughed, covering her mouth with what strength she had..
"We're after you?" Jiriaya finished for her.. Rubbing her back.. Itami sighed and contiued
"Yea... They want my abilities thought I'd be a good target fortunately for me kakashi destroyed them all as son as he saw me get hurt...."
"He's the protective one" jiriaya stated smiling.. Itami smiled a little... She was a fast healer but it would take weeks for the injuries to fully heal by themselves... Itami sighed as a girl came in
"Hello I'm taimi"
"Hey... Itami... Itami nohara" Itami greeters sighing as the girl had a look at itami's wounds
"How in the world did this happen?"
"She's a ninja.... He village was presumed her dead"
"So she's alive but she's dead?" Likoro asked confused, Itami nodded
"My best friend think I'm dead...."
"Let's just hope he doesn't do anything idiotic"
"He will... It's kakashi" Itami said smiling at the thought of kakashi doing something idiotic when she wasn't around... Even after all the tears blood and pain she was able to smile...

Kakashi stood at the gates..... Team ready.. Kakashi then moved his mask over his face... It was mission to destroy the people who killed his girlfriend... And of course he gladly... No excitedly accepted it.. He want to kill these people... He needed too.. His anger still boiling inside of him as his team watched the captain show no signs of anger at all. Kakashi was perfectly calm on the outside. Of course his teammates knew that he angry... Way more then angry.. Kakashi looked back at them.. The look in his sharingan eye making them feel slightly scared... There captain was a strong ninja... But they had yet to learn what he was like when he was angry..... They; at first, thought it was a bad idea to let Kakashi do the mission so soon after itami's death. They also brang it up with the hokage who told them this:
"If Kakashi doesn't get any closure, he'll be like that for good. He will calm down on his own but the anger and hatred towards those ninja who killed Itami will never stop unless he kills them himself. That is, I believe the only way to get him to calm down enough for him to go on ordinary missions and actually be himself again"
The anbu black ops team slightly disagreed... They were taught anger could blind one from the task at hand. But Kakashi was different. He would lose control of himself but not forget the task.

Itami sighed... Thoughts of how Kakashi was coping going through her mind as it healed her wounds.... Taimi smiled at her as she left jiriaya went to "research" for material to put in his books.. Itami sighed and looked around
"Don't do anything stupid Kakashi.... I mean it.... If you do I'll just have to come over there and knock some sense into you" Itami laughed at her own words... The thought of hitting his head hard enough for it to knock some sense into the silver hairs anbu captain... It would be impossible since that man is always so careful with what he says,.. Well not with Itami.. Itami sighed..
"I'll come back...ill be back that's a guarantee, you just wait hatake Kakashi. I'll be home... Someday" Itami whispered...
