10: dog sitting

Kakashi is 11 and Itami is 9

Team minato were out of their daily D rank missions. Itami grinned at her sister as they looked at the dogs they had to walk around konoha,
"Their so cute!" Itami cooed, kakashi walked up behind her and looked at the dogs
"I guess they are" Kakashi spoke up, making Itami jump, kakashi looked at her with and eye brow raised as the girl sweatdropped and blushed
"You scared me Kakashi!" She shouted, kakashi ignored her as minato lead them inside the shelter.
"Naw puppies! Rin! Obito! Come over here!" Itami shouts, obito and Rin then walked over and smile, the three then all got too play with the puppies while Kakashi and minato stood their watching, minato sweatdropped at his students.
"Alright guys, we have to get on with the mission.."
"But sensei!!" All three of them whined, overwhelmed  by the cuteness overload. Kakashi stared at the puppies bordley
"Guys lets just get this mission over and done with"
"But Kakashi" Itami pouted holding up a little puppy. The silver haired boy stared at the puppy and then to Itami. "Isn't he cute?" Itami asked, kakashi stared at her with an annoyed look, of course the puppy was cute, it was adorable. But he would never say that to a girl. Especially the girl he had a crush on, kakashi looked at her, both the puppy and Itami making their eyes big and look adorable. Kakashi sighed and sat down infornt of Itami and took hold kid of the puppy
"See! Isn't the little guy cute?" Kakashi grumbled his answer making obito laugh.
"Can't admit it can you Kakashi!" Obito shouted, getting a glare from the silver haired boy. Itami giggled making the young hatake blush slightly..
"I think the puppy likes you!" Itami shouted giggling. Kakashi sighed and looked to Itami
"I guess" Kakashi huffed at the youngest nohara. The puppy was cute but Itami.. Oh geez where could he start. He didn't want his train of thought getting interrupted by the girl he liked but it always happened, everyday. No matter how serious the situation, she always creeps into his mind and invades his thoughts. Itami giggled as minato finally made his team get away from the puppies, much to kakashi's relief and to the other threes sadness... Minato then made them pick a dog to walk. Itami picking a husky. Rin and obito and Kakashi picking smaller dogs, Itami laughed as the husky pulled on the leash
"Haha! He's so cool!" The haiku then barked at Itami making her giggle. "I think I'll call you blizzard!" The husky barked and jumped up on her, toppling the girl over, Itami began to laugh as Rin sighed
"Itami-chan, don't you think you should be walking the dog? Not you know, playing with it"
"Lighten up sis!" Itami shouted. Someone then took hold of the husky's leash and pulled the dog back, Itami frowned and sat up only to see Kakashi. With a slightly annoyed looked on his face
"Just walk the dog Itami"
"Your so mean Kakashi! Why won't you let me play with the dog!" Kakashi then rolled his eyes and crouched down Infront of his friend
"Because. You want to come over to my place right?"
"Well yeah!" Itami shouted
"Then you'll walk the dog"
"Your no fun" Itami stated pouting, kakashi sighed
"But. If your good I could persuade my dad to adopt the husky for you..." Kakashi said, itami's eyes lit up with excitement as she jumped up
"REALLY?!" She shouted excitedly, kakashi nodded making her jump at him and tackle him in a extremely tight hug.. Rin sighed sweatdropping
"Geez she never learns that he's not interested in her" Rin whispers, obito looked at his teammate
"What do you mean?" Obito asked
"Itami kinda has a crush on Kakashi. I think. But if she does she has to understand that he's not interested" Rin stated arms crossed, Itami began to cry. Kakashi stared at her and sweatdropped
"Okay.. I get your happy alright... Just don't go crying... Please?" Kakashi muttered slowly. Itami nodded and wiped the water from her eyes, she then hugged Kakashi again and sighed happily
"Your the best" Kakashi sighed and hugged back
"Yeah yeah" he muttered as Itami grinned at him
"No seriously! Your the best!! I'll walk the dog promise!!" Itami shouted jumping up. Kakashi smirked
'Well that worked, now I just have to persuade my dad to get a dog without telling him it's because of a girl....' Kakashi thought as team minato then actually got to finish they're mission. Itami grinned following Kakashi back to his place,
"Your gonna try aren't you?" Itami asked, kakashi looked at her and nodded
"Yeah okay? Yes I'll try. And I'll adopt it myself if my dad doesn't agree okay?"
"Yeah okay" Itami whispers as he unlocks the door, and sneaks inside, Itami then creeps in, kakashi at his bedroom door. Itami then crept in and giggled to herself as Kakashi closed the door.
"Your room is big" Itami observed
"I guess so"
"My room's probably half the size of this"
"Really?"
"Yeah" Itami stated sitting on his bed, Itami then giggled as he looked at her
"I'll be back okay? Just don't do anything" Itami giggled and nodded
"Okay I won't, but what if your dad comes in here?"
"He won't when I have the door closed" Kakashi muttered exiting the room and closing the door, he then turned around only to meet the eyes of his father
"Who you keeping in there Kakashi?" Sakumo asked... Kakashi began to sweat
"A f-friend" he muttered.
"Friend huh? Shall I go in and talk to this 'friend' of yours?"
"What?! No! Please. Don't dad... Uh.." Sakumo smiled
"Don't worry, I won't interrupt you and your friend" Sakumo stated, kakashi sighed and then remembered something
"Uh.. Dad can I ask you so thing?" Kakashi asked watching his dad walk Downton the hall way, Sakumo then turned around and smiled
"Hm what?"
"Could we maybe.. Uh get a dog?"
"A dog?" Sakumo questioned, kakashi nodded
"Yeah.. Minato-sensei took us to the kennels and uh.. Well I saw how many dogs that didn't have home so I thought maybe we could get one?" Kakashi explained the fake reason he had made up..
"Still a dog? Is there any other reason that you want a dog?"
"N-no not really" Kakashi shuttered, Sakumo smiled
"It wouldn't happen to be for your teammate would it? Minato did say that one of your teammates really did like a dog" Kakashi stiffened
"Well.... I.. Uh....." Sakumo smiled
"We could, if I get to see who your friend is"
"Dad! Come on!"
"No, no dog" Kakashi bit his lip and growled
'Geez I hate myself'
"Fine just don't tease me" Kakashi growled. Leading his father to his room. Itami smiled as she looked around his room. She then heard the door open making her freeze.
"Hi!" She shouted, Sakumo chuckled
"So this is that friend of yours aye Kakashi?" Sakumo stated smirking, elbowing his son in the back, Kakashi growled and blushed at the same time. He then walked over to Itami who giggled
"Uh I wasn't snooping around"
"Better not have been or you won't come back over here" Kakashi growled, Itami giggled.
"Ashi.." She whispered. Kakashi stiffened and growled, his eye beginning to twitch at the sound of that nickname. She had been recently calling him that for fun, but it got on his nerves so much...
"Don't call me that!" He shouted laying down on his bed and growling. Itami giggled again and sat beside him
"So?" Itami asked. Looking up at Sakumo who was smiling.
"So can we dad?" Kakashi asked embarrassed, Sakumo smirked
"Alright, come on you two" Sakumo stated Itami gasped and grabbed Kakashi by the hand, and pulling the young boy past his father and out onto the road, and of course all the way to the dog kennels....
