"HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!" Sophie screamed and jumped onto Chelsea's bed.
"Woah, Morning Soph. Happy Christmas."
"Get up."
"Why? Where's mom?"
"She's already downstairs waiting, breakfast is all ready and waiting."
"Okay, I'll be down in a minute." Sophie nodded her head and left Chelsea alone. She laughed to herself a few seconds later and got up out of the bed, she slipped on her dressing gown and slippers before walking downstairs. She was greeted by the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the beautiful aroma of homemade waffles. "Good Morning mom." Chelsea walked over and hugged her mother tightly, then grabbed a mug and poured herself a coffee.
"Morning sweetie. Sophie's been waiting for hours for you. You honestly wouldn't think she was 15."
"Christmas brings the child out in everyone." Chelsea laughed. "Mom?"
"Yes honey?" She replied while she scooped the last waffle up out and placed it on the plate, that was a tower of fresh hot food.
"Is it going to be a lot different now dad's gone?"
"It will be harder, but I promise you... It will never change." Christine pulled Chelsea into another hug and kissed her forehead.
"Hey guys can we open presents now?" Sophie came bounding in with a big present, while they both laughed at the overly excited teenager. Chelsea watched as her mom opened the presents that she had bought, she saw her mother wipe some tears away at the thoughtful gifts her daughter's gave her. A few minutes later Christine stood up and gave Chelsea a small box.
"What's this?"
"It's a little gift from me and your father." Chelsea looked at her mother and smiled gently. "He suggested before he passed to get it. I just wish he was here now to see your face." Chelsea took of the lid and looked inside the box, there sitting in the middle was a single black key with a large red ribbon around the hoop.
"What is this?" She picked up the key and looked at it. "You got me a new car?" Christine nodded and Chelsea jumped up and hugged her mom hard. "Mom you didn't have to. I was totally fine with my old car."
"It was your fathers idea. Do you want to go and see it?"
"Hell yeah. Let me Just get dressed."Chelsea, Sophie and Christine descended the stairs out side and walked over to a big shiny grey car. "Oh my god, mom. This is far too much! I can't accept it."
"This was your fathers idea. He said this was a great choice of car."
"It's beautiful." She walked over to it and unlocked it by clicking the key. Chelsea slipped into the car and sat in the drivers seat. It felt a lot better than her old car, much more room she thought. Chelsea started the engine and rolled the Windows down. "I love it. Thankyou mom."
"That's okay my baby." Chelsea smiled then felt her baby move in her stomach. "I'm glad you like it."
"Mom I love it. You don't understand..." They both laughed.
"Your father thought, since you're now driving to and from Campus and the hospital a reliable car was needed, and when he saw this one. He instantly bought it." Christine smiled and tapped the door, Chelsea turned off the engine after rolling up the window, and got out going back inside with her sister and mom, to enjoy the rest of her day with her family."Why don't you go and spend time with Chelsea and her family?" Isabelle spoke to Oliver. "You haven't spoken to her in what? Three days? I think you need to talk."
"Isabelle, I just don't know what to say... It's hard."
"Of course it's hard, your girlfriend was a vampire, now turned back into human and carrying your baby. There's a lot of things to say but it's just the way you have to say them."
"Why are you such a good friend to us?" Isabelle shrugged her shoulders.
"Because I'm amazing like that, now go. Enjoy your Christmas."
"You too." He pecked her cheek and shook Leo's hand before running off.Later on that evening, Chelsea slipped on her shoes and walked outside. The moon was bright in the sky and the low murmur of Crickets filled the air. She sat on the stairs and felt the cool breeze hit her face every so often. She looked up and saw Oliver standing a few feet from the stairs. "Ollie..." She whispered and watched as he walked closer to her.
"Chelsea... I'm so sorry.." He apologised as he took her hands. "I was a jerk, and I've just been doing everything but actually explaining myself."
"Oliver... It's okay. I understand... It's a hard thing-"
"Yeah it is hard, and completely strange... But all them things I said to you, telling you can't keep the baby."
"It really hurt me..."
"I know and I regret it so much... Chelsea you have to believe me. I love you so so much... You don't understand."
"Ollie, I do, because I love you too. It's killed me being away from you this long.. And for god sake I always told myself I would never cry over a boy but damn... You've really captured my feelings." She stood up and stepped down the stairs, so she was close to him. She brought her hand up to his cheek and placed it on there gently.
"I want you to keep the baby... No matter what happens." He blurted out.
"Are you sure? You were so against it before..."
"That was before and how I've just ignored you for these days, but you've always been in my mind..."
"What made you decide that you would do this with me?" She asked gently.
"Well who could say no to a baby of mine.." She slapped him on the shoulder and he laughed out loud. "I just thought I need to step up my game and be a father."
"That sounds so weird..."
"Yeah I know." He chuckled. "But first I have one thing that I need to do." He stepped back and slowly bent down on one knee. Chelsea gasped and threw her hands over her mouth as she watched him pull out a black box and pop it open to reveal a bright ring, the mini crystals glistened in the night.
"Oliver..." She looked at him, still shocked.
"Chelsea Adams, I have loved you ever since you caught my eye over a year ago. I think we have been through so much considering how much time we've actually been together as a couple... But I wouldn't of had it any other way. I love you will all my heart, your smile makes me smile and the beautiful little baby that we both created proves how much we are meant to be together. Chelsea we've been together through hell and back, facing our fears and trying to enjoy life to the fullest. I've wanted to be with you ever since you bumped into me into the hallway."
"You bumped into me!" She laughed as she spoke beneath her hands.
"And there she goes again." He laughed. "I want us to continue to make memories and survive death over and over again... And I know I may be very old, but hey we aren't getting any younger."
"Well one of us!" Chelsea snickered.
"So Chelsea what do you say? Will you marry me?" The pause was long and silent, Oliver watched Chelsea move closer to him and pulled him up from the ground. "So what's the answer?"
"Of course I will!" She shrieked and kissed him roughly. They pulled away and Chelsea held out her hand and watched him slowly slip the ring on her finger and quickly kissed him again. They walked through the door and saw Christine and Sophie turn their heads to them. "What's happened?" They both looked at them and saw Chelsea who had the biggest smile on her face.
"Well we have two bits of news." Chelsea spoke gently.
"Well what is it?" Sophie and her mom were both now standing.
"WE'RE ENGAGED!!!" Chelsea screamed at the top of her lungs and they both screamed back and jumped up in the air together. Chelsea and Oliver both laughed and hugged each other.
"And what's the other news?" Sophie asked and their mom automatically knew what she was going to say.
"Well, Soph. You're going to be an auntie!!" Sophie stayed silent for a few minutes then realised what her sister said.
"Oh my god. You're pregnant!!!!" Christine and Sophie both ran over to them and hugged them tightly. "I'm going to be an auntie! That's so cool. I'm going to tell my friends!" She ran from the lounge and up the stairs. Chelsea and Oliver sat down on the couch and held hands, Christine looked at them both from the corner of the room.
"When were you going to tell me?" She smiled gently.
"I wasn't actually going to say anything till right near the end."
"How do you expect to hide a bump? And how dare you try and keep my first little grandchild a secret. I will admit though... I wanted to be a little older than I am to be a Nanna, but hey! I'm so excited." She walked over to them and crouched down in front of them and grabbed each of their hands. "Oliver, you have done me so proud, and I'm so happy to call you my son-in-law."
"Thanks Ms Adams."
"Hey! It's Christine to you!" She chuckled. "No I mean it, when I think about all them years ago when we first came into the town and Chelsea was grumpy and awful... And I compare to who she was then to who she is now.. And it makes me proud to see how much you've grown."
"Oh mom.." Chelsea pulled her mother closer and hugged her. "I love you so much."
"I love you too honey, now how about a grilled cheese?"
"Oh yeah please!" Chelsea clapped her hands together and watched her mother get up and go into the kitchen. She turned her head to Oliver and pecked his lips gently. "I love you so much."
"I love you too." He replied back and kissed her once more.Christmas went past quite quickly and now they were all in the bar counting down the minutes till new year. Chelsea stuck by Oliver and Isabelle most of the night. "Okay everybody! We have 60 seconds!" The bar staff shouted over the music and switched on the televisions to show the Glitter ball in New York. "Everyone grab a drink!" Leo came over a few seconds with a bar tray with loads of drinks on. Isabelle grabbed her glass of wine and passed it to Zoey who stood with Jordan, Christine was hugging Sophie and swaying along to the music. Isabelle was dancing lightly to the music with Leo by her side. Chelsea grabbed the glass of orange juice from the table and drunk some. "The joys of being pregnant at New Year!" She laughed. The seconds counted down and now everyone was shouting above the music.
