"You're so fucking worthless and ugly Jaynee, you can't do anything right!" her mother yelled at her.

"Mom I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll clean it up," 6 year old Jaynee said, tears running down her cheeks. Jaynee's words were followed by a loud sound, pain spreading all over her cheek. Jaynee fell to the floor, burying her face in her arms. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," she repeated, weeping silently.

"You should be fucking sorry," her mother said, her voice booming. She grabbed Jaynee's arms and dragged her down into the attic and throwing her against the wall.

"MOM PLEASE, DON'T LEAVE I'M SCARED OF THE DARK I'M SCARED," Jaynee shrieked, watching her mom walk towards the door. Her mother left her there and slammed the attic door, locking it. Jaynee began screaming and crying and weeping in the pitch black room.

She continued to cry for another 20 minutes before a blue light appeared in the corner of the basement. She didn't look up, she just continued to cry out of sadness and fear. The blue light grew and popped, and in the place of it was a woman with icy blue hair, icy blue eyes and pale skin.

"Jaynee," the woman said. Jaynee looked up at the woman, tear streaks on her cheeks and a little bit  of snot coming out of her nose.

"Huh?" Jaynee sniffled, "Who are you?"

"Think of me as your fairy god mother," she said cheerfully. She put her hand on Jaynee's forhead and closed her eyes. Her eye lids began to glow a light blue, her hand glowing as well.

"W-What's happening?" Jaynee said.

"Shhh sweet child, this will not harm you. It is a gift," the woman said, taking her hand off of Jaynee.

"W-What is it?" Jaynee asked, looking up at her.

The woman was fading, her voice but an echo. "That is for you to find out..."

"Jaynee, are you alright?" Emmett asked, looking at her with a worried look.

"I'm alright Emmett, just day dreaming," I said quietly. Emmett looked at me and nodded.

"You think they're alright? Maybe we should go back for them?" Emmett asked, look out at where they entered. We currently resided in a warrior's home, there were a whole bunch of them right in between in the inner and outer walls.

"No, I'm sure they'll be coming s-" The door opened and in walked Effie with Aria on Effie's back. Effie threw Aria off on a couch and Effie herself collapsed on the floor.

"Lilu. Captured. Gone." Effie said before losing consciousness. I looked at Emmett and he looked at me; we were both in shock. I walked over to Aria and threw her on my back, taking her into the backroom so I could give her some medical attention.

"What the FUCK did you do Jaynee?" her mother yelled.

"I didn't do anything mom, I didn't!" Jaynee replied, her eyes wide and teary.

"Yes you fucking did! Look at my fucking garden, its all trampled upon and ruined, what the fuck is wrong with you Jaynee!?" she yelled, ignoring what Jaynee had to say. "I can't fucking believe you, you're so fucking useless, just like your father. Do you even know the extent of what you fucking did? I can't fucking-"

"STOP!" Jaynee yelled, closing her eyes and screaming her lungs out. She stopped screaming and waiting for a reply, she opened her eyes and saw her mother frozen. The entire room was frozen, the counter, the stove, the fridge, everything was covered in a thin sheet of ice. Jaynee quickly got scared, afraid of what her mother would do once the ice thawed; she ran upstairs and gathered up the things that were most important to her.

She grabbed her sketchbook, her diary, a couple of pencils, a book and a water bottle. She stuffed them into her bag and stipped it up. She ran back downstairs and bolted out the door, not sure where she would go.

She spent weeks by herself until one night, something changed.

Jaynee was trying to fall asleep on the cold forest ground next to her fire when she heard a rustle. She jolted awake and sat up.

"W-Who's there?" she called, huddling up with her legs.

A boy who looked about 2 years older than her walked out of the bushes and sat beside her. "Hi," he said quietly.

"Hi, who are you?" Jaynee said, looking at him.

"I'm Emmett," he said smiling.

Jaynee grabbed his hands and looked at him, "W-Will you be my friend?" she stuttered, her eyes puffy.

"Sure,  whats your name new friend?" He asked.

"It's Jaynee, J a y n e e,"  she said cheerfully.

"Well Jaynee, its nice to meet you," he replied.

"Nice to meet you too..."

I was sitting in a chair next to the bed where Effie was laying. She had been badly hurt; 2 stab wounds and an arrow head in her shoulder. I was using a type of water healing magic and some bandages to fix her up.

I wrapped the last bandage around her and patted it to make sure it was secure. I put the bandages back in the kit and bended the water back into a cup. I was about to get up when I looked over at the trapped door right beside the bed and noticed some noise coming from it. I got up and peered down at it, the noise getting louder. I backed up and bended the water from the cup into my hands and formed a dagger and froze it.

The trap door busted open, steam coming from the wood and a hand grabbed onto the wood floor right where I was standed.

"W-Who's there?" I said carefully. A man who was a complete stranger climbed out of the trapped door with Lilu on his bak who was grinning like a chesire cat.

"HIYA JAYNEE," she said loudly, hopping off of the man's back; showing the height difference. He had to be at least 6'2".

"H-hi Lilu, I see you brought company. W-Who is this?" I said, still staring down at the man.

"Oh, this big fella? This is my new friend, Zach," she said grinning.

"N-nice, would you like to see Aria? She's out cold right now but she missed you," I asked.

"Uh, nah, I wanna spend some time with Zach right now," Lilu said, grabbing Zach's hand and walking out the door and into the next room across the hallway.

I sighed, closing the trapped door and leaving the room. I walked down the hallway to where Emmett was staying in and walked in. He was fast asleep but I didn't even hesitate getting in bed next to him and going to sleep.
