Run? Why? From who?... All this thoughts flooded my mind like a water at a river bank when I focused at the piece of paper bearing that one word. But that among all wasn't the only reason I was terrified to the core.  I looked back up to where Peter was, it was empty. He had gone. Funny that I knew what the word meant but I had no idea what language it was or how I knew it.

I quickly bolted up to my room having forgotten the Aidan incident and googled the word on my laptop. Latin. How the heck did I know Latin.

I was there all by myself peered into the distance of the open lighted window begging the universe for some answers. Then I saw it. It was like a replay of my childhood playing right in front of me.

I was about five years old with a lot of gaps in my teeth  and it was exactly one year since mom disappeared. I could feel the emptiness as I lay in my huge bed for my size watching my father tuck me in. Like any other young kid  I asked "Daddy when is Mommy coming back?" In my cute high pitched nice tone.
But instead of a nice clear reply to assure me that she's on her way like always, a tear rolled down his left cheek and he told me "Honey, Its just you and me for ever."
"Mom ain't coming?" I widened my big owl eyes.
"Some day when your older you'll understand why."
"Can I know now?" I insisted.
"Daddy did something bad. Will you ever forgive him?" He asked me and at that time it felt like a joke .
I answered, "I can never get mad at you Daddy. And whatever it is daddy we'll figure it out together." I repeated what he always told me when I came back from school crying.
"I didn't want to drag you into all this.." And another tear rolled down his left cheek...

It was ended by Ash shouting at my face to stop day dreaming and a tear peaked out of my left eye.
I shook it off before she could see it roll and pretended to chuckle.
"So am going out with the boys wanna come?"

"I'll pass... I have something urgent"

"Fine lemme rephrase my statement," she spoke, "you are coming with me and that's final"

"No sorry you can't force this bitch" I spoke with enthusiasm.

"But the boys are really looking forward to meeting you. I told them you'd come"

"But they don't know how I look like so just take any one." I reasoned.

"But Aidan knows you... And he'll be there."
On the mention of his name, my body became pretty chilled. Should I go? Do I want to see him or ..
But my inner devil jumped at the opportunity and I screamed out
"Yes am going."

"Well get ready!" she spoke with utter exuberance.

"I can't believe we're doing this in the library." I spoke to Ash as we entered the quiet place at about 10:00 pm.

"Yes. No one ever comes here so we are bound to have privacy. And it was the boys idea. And at the corner," she pointed to where we were headed, "is dark enough"

We jaunted to the most right corner dodging shelves of books and walls covered with posters simultaneously. The Library is bigger than I expected but then again everything is bigger than I expected. We finally reach the circle of seven friends. Literally since everyone is seated in a circle facing each other and if am not mistaken they are in a treacherous game of "spin_the_bottle" , plus only two seats are left empty. There's one in between  Aidan and Shane and that in between Prim and a fair headed good looking boy exactly opposite Aidan.

Obviously Ash strides to the one next to Aidan trying no to cause attention but her entry leads the game to stop and Aidan welcomes her officially.

"Guys! Guys! My bae Ash has finally arrived" and he plants a kiss on her lips. A stroke of jealousy flushes through my body. I move to the other free seat striking my heels intentionally. I was wearing blue shorts and a blue vest-hood with a zipper at the front plus plus black boot- heels that reached mid leg.
