Hazel's POV:
"Hazel, dinner is ready." Dad spoke through the door. I got up off my bed and walked towards the door of my bedroom. He is disappointed in me, I could tell.
I trudged down the stairs and into the kitchen.
Once I sat down, Dad started to talk, "I have some news."
"Okay, what is it?" I asked, like I was so eager to know.
"We're moving." Dad said.
I dropped my fork on the floor, my jaw dropped and my eyes went wide like I couldn't control my body.
"What!" I screeched, "I don't want to move! I like it here!"
"Hazel, lower your voice." Dad scolded.
"Sorry." I said sheepishly.
"Where are we moving?" I asked.
"Somewhere were this Harry boy can't find you." Dad said, his voice rising.
"What?" I asked.
How could he know about Harry? I thought.
"Yeah, I know about Harry. I don't live under a rock! While I was out getting dinner for tonight, I saw a magazine with you on the cover exiting a club with that boy. I read it, turns out it's Harry Styles from One Direction. Yup, I looked up some songs, researched him. Turns out he is a womanizer." Dad said.
"He's not a womanizer." I said.
"Really? All his songs is about sex and I'm pretty sure he has had a lot of it and taken away many of the poor girls innocence." Dad said.
I didn't say anything.
"Did he take yours?" Dad asked looking at me.
I was too afraid to speak, not trusting my voice so I just shook my head 'yes'.
"He did what! How could you let him!" Dad yelled.
"I was drunk." I whispered, looking down.
"You were drunk! Hazel, I don't know what I did to raise you so wrong." Dad said.
That stung.
"Well, maybe than maybe I should leave if your so disappointed in me." I whispered.
"Excuse me? Do not talk back to me." Dad yelled.
Tears stung the corners of my eyes as I stood up and walked right out the door, leaving my food on the table and Dad speechless.
--
I jogged down the road, the cold air giving me goose bumps since I was only wearing my pink pajamas. My shirt was a tank top and it had a cookie with a bite taken out of it saying, 'One Tough Cookie' my pants having the same thing. (Outfit on the side -->)
I ran my hand up and down my arms trying to make heat to warm my body. I shoved my head into my hands after I took a seat on a bench in the town that was near my house.
Well, I'm legally an adult, I could get a job and move out. Get a roommate. I thought and smiled in satisfaction.
Where shall I move? Rhode Island. I got off my spot on the bench I had taken a spot on and ran back to my house.
--
Once I got up to my house, I walked straight up to my room, ignoring Dad call my name. I walked into my room and room and took out my suitcase and started to fill it with my clothes.
When I started to pack my other things, Dad walked into the room.
"Where do you think you are going?" Dad asked, his voice rising.
"Someplace away from this hell hole." I replied, picking up my bags.
"I will not let you leave this house hold like your mother." Dad said.
"Don't bring her into this!" I yelled.
"She left us, Hazel! She just got up and left!" Dad yelled back.
"No, when she left she wanted to take me with her, but she decided to keep me here so you could keep something from her." I corrected.
"You will not leave this house."
"Watch me." I replied, and walked right past him my hands filled with bags.
--
I leaned my head on the window, smiling at the fact that I finally had my breakaway. That I was free to go for my dream.

Sorry it was so short, but just to let you know, this chapter is REALLY important.
