I was currently at Lucas's house chilling with him. I was scrolling through my phone when he decided to speak up.

"Do you and what's her name still talk?" He asked. I gave him a questionable look.

"Who?" I asked.

"She's short, has nice hair, light skin." He described.

"Riley?"

"Yeah her. Do y'all still talk?"

I shook my head sadly. I missed my bestie.

"Taylor went on a date with her last night." He spoke. My eyes bulged out. Riley, on a date? It's like me not liking a fridge and I damn well love food. I nodded and continued to scroll through Twitter. Maybe I should ask Riley out to lunch, just to talk.

I sat in bed until I heard my phone ringing. I sighed and answered not seeing who it was.

"Hello." I spoke.

"Its me." The caller replied. I immediately knew it was Fae since she liked using that term on me too much. I sat up.

"Long time no talk." I said looking at my nails. I heard her sigh.

"Yeah, I was wondering if you will like to meet up at like the mall or sometime tomorrow?" She said unsurely.

"Sure, I'm down with that." I answered. We went over the time and meeting place and said our goodbyes. I threw my phone down and laid back down.

Best friends united.

I waited in pink by Victoria secret for Fae. She takes a periodically time to come meet up. Soon she popped up and waved in my face.

"Hey Fae. Long time no see." I greeted. She smiled and nodded along. We quickly talked about what we were gonna eat and shopped some more. Ain't nothing better than best friend shopping time. We went down to the food court with a army truck full of bags. We decided to eat subway after a very tiring shopping spree. I took a bite out of my sandwich and waited for Fae to speak.

"I think I should discuss the New Years party ley' " I sighed, dreading for the story to enter my ears. I nodded for her to go on.

"Lucas and I looked at each other and our lips just touched each other I guess." She sighed and smiled which caused me to gag internally.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to kiss him on purpose but I really like him Riley and sooner or later you just have to accept that." I clenched my jaw. Except what? The fact she took my future man from me. I kept my cool and tried to not let that bother me. I put on a fake smile and nodded my head. We finished our lunch and went our separate ways. I got into my car and drove home.

I sighed and ran a hand down my sweaty face. Basketball practice wore a nigga out. Foreal. I slipped off my sweaty jersey revealing my naked buff chest. Yeah I know, nigga be looking nice and sexy. I soon spotted Fae waiting for me with a Gatorade bottle and a towel. I smiled and jogged over to her. She smiled and handed the towel over to me. I took it graciously and kissed her on the forehead. Nigga be living lavish.
