"I am not going in there," I whispered. Van frowned. I felt terrible, but I couldn't let him spend his money on me. He worked so hard busking to pay for school; it felt wrong to let him waste it.
"Why not Ryn? I want to take you here. I want to spend my money on you. I want to take you on a proper fucking date." He turned away from me, clearly upset.
My eyes bulged out of my head. He wanted to take me on a date? For fucks sake, now I feel bad for not wanting to go.
I wrapped my arms around the lanky boy in front of me. "I'm sorry, I didn't know it was a proper date. Let's go inside babe," I mumbled into his shoulder blade. I couldn't see, but I know he smiled.

Dinner was fantastic. Van was a true gentleman, but without the whole pulling out my chair charade. It was sweet that he remembered that I hated when people did that for me.
Walking back to campus, Van wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close. "Dinner was nice love, thanks for co-operating," he giggled. In response, I swatted his arm and gave a half hearted 'fuck off McCann.'
There was no denying it; we both liked each other a lot. What were we going to do?
Ayee so it's been a while! How was everyone's Christmas? The past week has been super busy with holiday stuff and my birthday so I'm sorry this wasn't up earlier. Also, THANK YOU FOR 1.05K!!! I seen that this morning and it made my day!!
