I talked to Harry for an hour.  It was probably the best hour of my life.  Harry was so kind and really fun and easy to talk to.  He didn't judge me for swinging, and was even slightly jealous.  Or so he said.  We talked about a little bit of everything, and just got to know each other.

I only said about ten thousand embarrassing or stupid things, so I think it went pretty well.

I talked to Harry until Kat had finished with the other boys' vocal lessons, then I talked to her.  She said she had told the boys that I was a huge fan, but didn't believe she was their coach.

"I was trying to figure out how I could prove it to you, and Harry just snatched my phone and ran out of the room," Kat laughed.  "He is such a goof.  He claimed that he would prove it, and I guess he did.  I didn't think you would talk to him for an hour, though."

"Well, it took him ten minutes to convince me he was actually Harry."

"That's okay.  I figured you two would hit it off.  He reminds me of you sometimes.  Plus, he was always your favorite, so it makes sense."

"I'm your favorite?!"  Harry yelled from the background.

"No!"  I yelled back, smiling to myself.

There was a ruckus on the other line, as well as some shouting of "let me talk to her" and "no give me back my phone," before the phone went quiet again.

"I'm not your favorite?"  Harry asked, sounding sad.

"Nope."  I said, trying to sound serious.

"Then who is?"

"Kevin?" I asked.  "I don't know.  It's between Kevin and Leeroy."

"Kevin?  Are you thinking of the Jonas Brothers?"

"No.  You know, Kevin.  He's really short and super cute.  And that beak!  Hot dang!"

"Are.  You. Serious?  Kevin?  The pigeon?"

"Yep.  Did you forget about him?"

"Maybe a little bit.  I didn't realize you were such a carrot. But I can't believe you think he's hotter than me."

By this time, I couldn't hold in my laughter any longer.  He sounded genuinely hurt that I thought a pigeon was hotter than him.  I was pretty proud of myself for thinking of the Kevin thing.  I am so. dang. funny.  *que the knee slaps*

"Yes," I choked, finally calming down.  "Almost anything is hotter than you."

"Ouch!"  Harry laughed.  "That's not very nice!"

"Sorry, not sorry."

"Well, since you aren't sorry, I guess I won't be nice to you anymore."

"Aww, shoot!  I guess I will have to apologize then, won't I?"

"Yes.  And you better make it good."

"I'm sowwy," I said, using my best baby voice.  "I shouldn't have said a pigeon was hotter than you."

"You are forgiven.  And here's Kat.  Bye!"

"Bye!"  I laughed.  "Hey, Kat."

"Hi!  Now, where were we?  Oh yeah!  I was picking on you for talking to Harry."

"Yeah, yeah.  Are you finished?"

"Nope.  You will never live this down."

"Figures," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Anyways, there is something I wanted to ask you," Kat said, sounding as serious as she could.

"Yeah?"

"So, as you know, the boys are back on tour after their 18 month break."

"Yeah...."

"They will be in the U.S. again over this winter," Kat continued.  "I will be their vocal coach during the American leg of their tour, but that is beside the point.  They will actually be in Minneapolis, which is the closest they will get to Bismarck, over your winter break.  They will have a week-long break at that point, so I was wondering if you wanted to come visit?  You could stay for the week and then go to their Minneapolis concert!"

My jaw dropped.  See 1D in concert?!  That had been my dream for so long!  But there was only one problem.

"Kat, thank you so much, I really want to but I don't think I will be able to afford that."

"Wait!  Before you make a decision, hear me out.  As part of the crew, I can get you a free ticket and backstage pass.  You can stay at the boys' hotel with me.  I have a room to myself.  All you would have to do is pay for the plane tickets."

Alright, that was more reasonable.  I might be able to do that, but plane tickets were still pretty expensive.

"Why don't you think about it?"  Kat asked.  "I would love to see you, but if it's not possible, that's alright.  Just let me know."

"Okay," I said.  "I will let you know."

"Sounds good!"

I hopped off of the swing and started walking home, talking to Kat the whole way.
