"What?" Harry asked, turning to see a crowd of at least 100 fans and paparazzi waiting for us at the gate.
"You were right," Kallie said. "Fuck."
"Get in formation!" the head of security, Paul, yelled.
The boys scrambled and paired up with a guard. I just stood there stupidly because I had no clue what was going on. Harry grabbed my arm and pulled me next to him and his guard, who ended up being Paul. As we got closer, harry placed his hand on the small of my back and explained what I should do.
"Harry," I whispered, looking up at the concerned-looking cupcake. "I'm really excited."
"What?" Harry asked, surprise evident in his voice. "Aren't you scared?"
"Not really," I answered. "Those fans are like my extended family."
"Well, alright then," Harry said as a large, dimpled grin covered his face. "Looks like you will be meeting your family."
When we got to the crowd, Harry started taking as many pictures with fans as possible. He would greet each of them with a hug and smile for their picture, making small talk with them the whole time. People were kind of shoving, wo Harry kept a tight grip on my hand.
Kallie walked beside me and we both started talking to the fans. It was great to fit in with my fellow fangirls and sharing my excitement about seeing the boys.
We all finally got to the car and hopped in, heading to the hotel that would be our home during Christmas. All except for Kallie and Niall, that is. Kallie dragged Niall with her to see Mile High Stadium, where the Broncos play. Which is dumb, because the Packers are where it's at.
After Kat and I moved our stuff into our room, we decided to get some last minute Christmas shopping done. We also got some ingredients for Christmas goodies. What's Christmas without an unhealthy amount of sweets?
When we got back, I threw my stuff in our room, then grabbed the ingredients and headed over to Harry's room and knocked on the door.
"Hey! Want to make Christmas goodies?!" I practically yelled as soon as he opened the door.
"Sure! Come on in!" Harry laughed. "You seem pretty excited about it."
"I love to cook," I answered, making my way into the small kitchen of his suite. "I especially love to bake."
"I love to cook too, but I'm terrible at baking," Harry said, trailing me into the kitchen. "What are we making?"
"Well I brought stuff to make sugar cookies and snowballs."
"Yum! But what's a snowball?" Harry asked, peaking at ingredients I was unpacking.
"They're chocolate chip cookie dough balls. They're called snowballs because you roll them in powdered sugar when they are done."
First I made the sugar cookies, then I started making the snowballs, while Harry "helped." In reality, he was acting like a little kid and repeatedly trying to stick his fingers in the dough. He kept singing some little song about cookies, which was adorable. He also repeatedly did the cookie monster voice. At one point, he even started pelting me with chocolate chips.
"Harry, could you not?" I asked turning to face him and getting hit in the eye with a chocolate chip.
"Ouch!" I said with an over-exaggerated frown.
"Sorry, Jen!" Harry said, jumping off the counter and trying to give me a hug.
"No hugs for you. You hit me in the eye," I replied, turning to face the counter and continuing to roll out the snowballs.
"Come on, Jenna, I said I was sorry," Harry whined, wrapping me in a hug behind and resting his head on my shoulder. "Pleeaassee forgive me?"
"Fineeeeee," I dragged out, finally letting a cheesy smile creep across my face. "I forgive you."
"Good," Harry crooned in my ear, spinning me around so he could give me a real hug.
Just then, the door slammed open and Kallie and Niall waltzed in.
"Hey, love birds!" Kallie said casually. "What are you up to?"
"Uhhh..." I stuttered, pulling out of Harry's warm and cozy hug, causing him to pout. "We were just finishing up the snowballs, then we were going to frost the sugar cookies, if you want to help."
I put the final snowball in the container and then set up the dining table to frost cookies. I set out the cookies, red, white, and green frosting, and sprinkles.
The four of us sat down and spent the afternoon frosting cookies. We had a lot of fun and didn't actually get a lot done because we were constantly sneaking cookies or laughing so hard that we couldn't concentrate. We ended up getting into a contest to see who could make the most absurd-looking cookies, which had all of us on the floor laughing.
Frosting sugar cookies was a family tradition for me, so it was nice to have a piece of home with me.
After we cleaned up the giant mess we had made, we decided to go our separate ways until supper. After Harry walked me back to my room, I decided to skype my family. I had called them earlier to tell them what my plans were, but I thought they deserved a better explanation. Plus, I missed them and really wanted to see their faces.
I decided to call my dad first. But it wasn't my dad who picked up.
"Hey, J-dog!"
"Kade!"
