"How are you, sis?"

Kaden, who I liked to call Kade, was my younger brother. We were 3 years apart, which meant that he was currently in college. Kade and I fought a lot as kids, but since we no longer lived together, we got along really well. However, my little brother wasn't very good at staying in touch. Kade went to school in Pennsylvania, so we only saw him over Christmas and the summer. And since he rarely called, it was always nice to hear from him. Sadly, because I wasn't able to get to Bismarck, I probably would only be able to see him for a day or two before he left again.

"I'm pretty good," I answered. "I wish I could be there, though. How are you? I haven't heard from you since Thanksgiving!"

"Sorry!" Kade said with a guilty look. "But I'm good. It's always fun to see your sister all over the Internet."

"What do you mean?"

"You were trending on twitter," Kade explained. "#HarysMysteryGirl was trending, and your picture was everywhere! Is there something you need to tell us, Jen?"

I spent the next hour talking to Kade and my dad, explaining that I wasn't dating Harry and catching up. I had to repeat the same process when I called my mom, who lives in South Dakota.

Honestly, this snow storm was a blessing in disguise. I not only got to spend time with my new friends, but I got to avoid some family drama. I love my family, but they drive me nuts. Since my parents divorced when I was little, they still fight over who is going where on what holiday. It was my dad's turn to have Christmas with us, which is why Kade was at his house, but obviously my mom wanted to see us, so it was just a big mess. I couldn't wait until I had my own family and could decide where to go for myself, rather than being put in the middle of my parents. Luckily, by being stuck in Denver, I was avoiding that mess. I felt bad for Kade, though, because he had to go through it alone. We had always had each other, which is how we survived the divorce and got so close, even if we were fighting all of the time.

Just as I was going to hang up with my mom, the door to our room opened. I quickly turned around to see Harry walking in.

"Hey, Jen! I- Oh, sorry! I will come back later."

"No, Harry, it-"

"Is that Harry?!" my mom nearly yelled.

"Yes, mom," I answered, rolling my eyes. This should be good.

"Oh, you're right, Jenna, he is cute!"

"Mom!" I squeaked, blushing and covering my face.

"It's okay, Jen! I know you think I'm cute," Harry laughed, doing a cupcake face.

"Well, I will let you two go," my mom laughed. "It was nice to meet you, Harry! Be sure to call on Christmas, Jen!"

"Okay, I will," I said, blowing a kiss. "By Mom, I love you!"

"Bye Mum!" Harry said, waving.

"Bye! Love you, kids!" Mom laughed, hanging up.

"Well, she was sweet!" Harry grinned at me, plopping down on my bed.

"Yeah, yeah," I laughed.

"You look a lot like her," he winked. "You have good genes."

"Thank you. So, what were you saying when you so rudely interrupted me?" I asked jokingly.

"Oh! I was going to tell you that we were going to go to supper now."

"Okay!" I said, grabbing my purse and jacket.

Harry went out the door before me, and I shut the door behind us. I looked up at Harry, who was smiling down at me. His eyes darted to my hand as we started to walk, and he carefully reached out and grabbed it, lacing our fingers together. He had held my hand before, but this seemed different. I blushed from the contact, and smiled up at him.

We made our way down the hallway and towards the elevator, swinging our interlaced hands between us.
