Chapter 9

Tris POV

I'm sitting next to Tobias eating lunch when i feel a tap on my shoulder. "oh, Hi Max." he beckons for me to follow him. "I'll be back," I whisper to Tobias. he nods still engaged in conversation with Zeke.  we walk out of the pit and into a quite hallway. "what's up?" I ask him.

"Tomorrow   you and four are taking the Initiates to the fence," he says.

"okay, but why did we have to come to a quiet hallway for you to tell me this?"

"because I have a letter from your Mum." he says handing me the envelope.

"thanks" i say as he walks off. I quickly rip open the envelope, it reads:

My Darling Beatrice,

I miss you so very much. i have revived a letter from Caleb saying that he loves us but its very unlikely that he will be able t see us. you Father and I have been able to manage without you and Caleb in the house but its so very different. I know Visiting Day is coming up soon but i cant wait that long to see you, meet me tomorrow night at the pier.

Love Mum.

i stuff the letter in my pocket and head back to the table. "what was that about?" Tobias asks me,

"were taking the initiates to the fence tomorrow, and he gave me a letter from my Mum." I whispered the last part.

After lunch tris and I set up the boards for shooting practice. Surprisingly, all the initiates walk in together  laughing and joking. "Glad to see your all getting along," Tris starts "but now it's time to learn how to use a gun." They all just stand there like lost puppies. "Well, are u going to just stand there or are you going to go pick up a gun!" I bark at them. The initiates Hold their gun stiffly. And then there's hunter who's swinging it around carelessly trying to look like some big rig in front of the other initiates. I glance over at tris and she cocks her head in my direction ever so slightly that I'm probably the only one that noticed. I know what she wants me to do. I walk up to the boy, grab the gun barrel and push on his shoulder to disarm him. I point the gun to the side of his head. "Your holding a loaded weapon! Act like it!" I yell. He has a look of pure fear on his face. I shove the gun back into his hands and walk back over to where I was standing.

"And history repeats it's self" I say.
"Now, watch four closely as he shows You how to shoot." He stands in front of the ply wood target and gets into stance. He aims the gun and shoots three times. He steps back and places the gun on the table. " your turn" I tell them. Elizabeth and jake both catch on really quick and are the first two to hit the targets. I look over to Tyler and Lucas. They are really stiff and and akward holding the gun. I guess coming from amity guns are what their old faction was against. I walk over to them. "Lucas, Tyler," I say getting their attention, "square your stance so your feet are shoulder width so when you shoot the recoil won't push you as hard"  as I walk off I hear them murmur a thanks.

"Alright everyone, it's 6 O'clock, co do what you want" I tell at them. They put their guns down and some walk out of the room and some run. Once they're all gone I close the door and lock it. "Now that we"re along I say walking back over to Tobias "mm" he says quietly. He meets me half way and my arms instantly wrap around his neck when we kiss and his hands go to my hips. As we kiss I'm slowly pushed backwards until my back is against a wall, his hands now rest at the base of my back. One of my hands is on his hair and the other holds his shoulder. He grabs my ass and I wrap my legs around his waist. We pull apart and our foreheads rest against each other, our heavy breaths mixing together. "We gotta go" I whisper.
"Just a few more minutes" he whines.
"I wish," I say putting my feet back on the ground and placing my hands on his chest. "But we don't wanna look suspicious to the initiates." I push him back and walk towards the door. I unlock it and walk towards the cafeteria. I see they are serving dauntless cake so a grab two slices and sit down. Tobias stayed in the training room for a few minutes so it doesn't look suspicious. A moment later Tobias appears and sits I between Zeke and I. I slide one piece of cake over to him and his face lights up. "Someone's exited" Zeke laughs.

Holy cow I haven't updated in a year! I thought it was time to pick up my act so here's the next chapter. I re-read the past chapters again and it's hard to believe I actually came up with this. I will try to update as frequently as possible now that my butt is into gear
