Chapter 13

Tris POV
Clancy tells me about her dream and in horrified, to say the least. Oh my god. Clancy has to fight Jake later on. " hey Clancy, how would you like a bit of revenge?" She gives me a shy but sly smile. " how?
"Well, how bout fighting him today?"
Her eyed widen, and she opens her mouth to speak and closes it again, unsure of herself. " I'm telling you from first-hand experience, think about it, and all your anger will be the power behind your punches. You can do it" I say giving her a reassuring smile. "thanks six."

"Next up, Jake vs. Clancy" Tobias announces. Clancy and Jake both step into the ring, Clancy giving me a nervous sideways glance and I subtly give her a reassuring smile. she turns and puts her attention on Jake.  they start to circle each other, both waiting for the other to make the first move. "scared Clancy," Jake snarls, amused.

"you wish" she replies, and then throws and uppercut to his jaw. not expecting it, jake receives  the the full blow, his head snapping back for a  moment. in that second, Clancy takes the chance to kick jake in the side of the ribs. Clancy then throws a second punch at jakes face, except he blocks it and throws a punch at Clancy. His fist lands on her left cheek, which catches her off guard. Jake keeps throwing punches at her face but Clancy attacks back. She shoves her elbow into jakes throat, which knocks the air out of him. Clancy tries to knee him in the groin, but before she can he sends her flying backwards, sending Clancy sprawling onto the mat. He kicks. Clancy in the side of the ribs a few times and I swear I heard a crunch. Jake stops kicking her and looms over the top of her. "Did you really think you could beat me?" Jake laughs "your just a pathetic, useless bitch. Your not gonna make it through dauntless anyway, so why don't you save everyone the trouble and leave." He leans over slightly " you'll never be dauntless"
If I were Clancy, that would have hit a nerve, but Clancy didn't get angry, she just smirks up at him, her chest heaving. Her voice laced with sarcasm, Clancy says " your ass, must be jealous of all the shit that comes out of your mouth." At lighting speed, Clancy whip her leg around the back of jakes knees and causes him to fall heavily with a thud on his back. Clancy scrambles to get up. Once she's standing, Clancy put her foot on jakes neck and applies just enough pressure to make him go red in the face. "Now who's the pathetic one?" She asks "life's a bitch jake, oh wait, no, that's just you." Clancy then kick his head hard enough to make him fall unconscious.
The other initiates stand there shocked. "Tyler, take jake to the infirmary," I order, breaking the silence. The others start to whisper to each other, about what; I don't know and I don't really care. I make my way over to the chalkboard and circle Clancy name. I see Elizabeth go over to Clancy and give her a hug. When I look over to Tobias I see Ash approaching him while sapphire and Sarah are huddled next to each other giggling like maniacs while watching Ashley intently. Ash stands in front of Tobias and he turns his attention to her. She noticeably is pushing her chest out while talking with him. I see her give a flirtatious smile before walking back over to her 'clique'. It was hard to hear what Ash was saying but I did catch the word  'personal'.

Tobias POV
Tris walks over to the chalkboard to circle Clancy's name. I then hear Ash " hey four," I turn to look at her. " yes Ashley" I reply.
" so um, I've been having a lot of trouble with my kicks and I'm looking to improve, so um, I was just wondering if you would be able to do like a personal training session. Like a one-on-one." She quickly adds in the last part. I have noticed her kick are a bit sloppy. " uh, yeah sure, alright"
"Thank you so so much four," she squeals, "I'll be here at 8, practicing" she says.
"Okay time for lunch," Tris yells, "oh, and be at the train tracks by 1:00 or there'll be consequences." Her tone is warning.
Once all the initiates have left, it's just tris and I. "What was that about?" Tris asks, referring to the conversation between Ashley and I. "Ashley wants me to help her improve her kicks, so we're doing a one on one sesh later."
"Well why don't I come and help out?" Tris suggests.
"Well, she asked for a one on one" I think I see disappointment flash across tris' face, but the expression was gone to quickly to tell. "Well then," she says coming closer to me, and lazily wraps her arms around my neck, "why don't we have our own one on one" tris suggests and pulls my lips to hers. I wrap my arms around my waist and pull her closer to me as I deepen the kiss. Her hands find their way into my hair, I love the feeling of her doing that. It drives me crazy.

Guys I'm soo incredibly sorry for not updating sooner. I know I said 3 weeks. Once my exams were over I spent a few days writing out the fight scene between Clancy and jake. I then left it for a couple of day because I had no internet. Then I came back to write the ending of the chapter and the whole thing had deleted. After that I sorta procrastinated on writing it again because I knew I wouldn't get it as perfect as the first time around. So the other week I re wrote the fight scene and today I worked on the rest of the chapter and have already started working on the next chapter.

*when I read over it I realised I unconsciously put in a berry potter reference, did anyone else pick it up?
Once again I am soo sorry. I'll continue writing the next chapter tomorrow. But it's really late here in Australia so ima sleep and be refreshed to write you guys another chapter tomorrow.
