Chapter 15

Tris POV

when Tobias and I arrive at the pier, Mum is already there, waiting. As we approach her she recognises me. i speed up my pace as I walk towards her and she meets me halfway. I immediatly wrap my arms around her in an embrace that ive been longing to share with her for so long. mum squeezes me as hard as she can and i return the hug with an equal amount of pressure. "I've missed you so much" I whisper, blinking repeatedly to hold back my tears that threaten to spill any minute. "I know hunny, I know" she replies tears streaming freely down her face. I'm the first to pull away from our embrace, "Mum I love you, I do but I know you asked me here for a reason," I note. at that her experssion changes from one of joy to one of worry.

"well, your not wrong," she begins, "ill have to be quick, i must get home soon before your father notices. I have reason to believe that the representatives of Candor are planning something, something big."

"What makes you think that?" Tobias interjects. at this Mum jumps a little.

"Four, I didnt realise you were here, I'm glad you are though" she adds, "well, when Andrew and I wnt to a city meeting the Candor reprasentitives were unusually reserved, not really having much input, very unlike their usual obnoxious selves. they were also writing down any plans that we have for the city, such as factionless locations, the hospital renovations all that sort of stuff and asking about stuff that is none of their concern."

"thats really weird," Tobias states, "they usually have an opinion on everything. but at the same time theres nothing concrete."

"Four and I will look into it" I intervene, "Mum come to Visiting Day and we'll talk then, but you need to get home before Dad finds out."
"ill see you soon Beatrice" she says, and we share one last quick embrace. as Tobias and I turn to leave, Mum reaches for Tobias' arm "Four," she says, he turns to face her, "look after my girl" she whispers.

"of course Natalie" he says reasuringly with a small smile. Tobias turns to me and we both run towards the train tracks.

Tobias POV

the whole way back to dauntless i kept thinking what Candor could possibly be up to? as we walk the dimly lit hallways of dauntless i hear a third set of footsteps coming towards us. "they're gonna wonder what we're doing awake at like 2 in the morning" Tris stresses,

"come here" I whisper back to her urgently. I quickly grab her waist and pull her into me and immediatly capture her lips with my own. she instantly responds, resting her hands on my chest. "ugh, get a room" I hear erics unmistakable voice groan. We pull apart slowly and turn to face him. I open my mouth to speak but tris beats me to it "or, you can keep walking and leave us to it. im sure we'll find one eventually." she remarks, a sarcastic smile on her face. for a split second Eric looks dumbfounded but he recovers fast enough that I almost missed it. "I'm not going anywhere," he muses and crosses his arms over his chest.

"then I guess you'll be here a while" I say, "come on tris, lets go finish what we started." I gently take her hand and push past Eric, not looking back. when we get back to our apartment i hurry into our bedroom with Tris trailing behind me. "I thought you were joking." Tris Laughs ad i pull her towards me. "is that a problem I ask, our faces inches apart.

"no" she smiles, that beautiful smile I love so much. Tris leans in first and we share a long passionate kiss that seems to last forever. I start to walk backwards until i reach the bed. I sit down on it and Tris crawls onto my lap. not once breaking the kiss. her hands slowly trail under my shirt and they creep up my body. Tris then pulls my shirt off, only breaking the kiss for a second. My shirt is quickly discarded somewhere on the floor. I can feel Tris' heartbeat speed up.she slowly pushes my shoulders so I'm lying on the bed while she sits on my waist. for a few seconds we just stare at each other. then, slowly, teasingly, Tris pulls her shirt up and over her head, exposing her gorgeous body to me. I can tell that shes nervous. I give her an encouraging smile and I cant help the Lustful look that must be in my stare right now. Her confidence returns and she returns my suddenly hujngry stare. she crawls over the top of me and kisses up my torso, the side of my neck, and finally, my lips. I wrap my arms around her petite yet strong frame. and we just lie there, kissing each other like theres no tomorrow. neither of us try to take it any further, but we dont need to. after a while we pull away and just lie there. finally I speak up, "we should go to sleep, we have training tomorrow" I state, my voice husky. Tris giggles little bit, noddin her head. we both crawl into bed, facing each other. "Goodnight," tris smiles, giving me a quick peck on the lips.

Okay so I planned for this chapter to be waaay longer but as you can see it didn't happen. So I know I said I'd update back in Jan but it's April and I ha e no decent excuse, so I'll spare you my pathetic excuses.
