Tigress, I need you

Chapter 2

Po's pov:

I was sitting at the foot of the bed, waiting until Huo awaked. It had been a couple of hours since Huo saved our butts then passed out and me and Tigress were here assigned to watch him until he wakes up. He looked weird, that's for sure. He looked like a tiger like Tigress, but most of his fur was black. I've never seen a tiger with black fur and I'm sure Tigress seems to be amazed by him - even curious!

I then see his fingers twitch and his brows beginning to furrow as a groan let out from his mouth. It seems like Huo is waking up. Wow! I'm so excited! I can't wait to befriend him! We can tell a lot of ghost stories and prank everyone along with Monkey!

Huo's pov:

After I passed out, I seem to find myself in an unfamiliar room as soon as I wake up. 'Where am I', I wondered as I held my pounding head with my right hand. On my left I saw a panda who was smiling widely at me. Creepy... Then on my right was a.... On my right was the most beautiful tiger with the most dazzling lucky cat eyes that I have ever seen. Thank the stars! I've found my mate! Back in my homeland, my people believed in mates and they said that you'd know who your mate was just by seeing them.

This beautiful tiger was my mate and already had me so smitten that I gave the lamest pickup line known to man.

"Am I in Nevaeh because I think I see an angel right now.", hearing that, she gave me the sharpest glare that only seemed to excite me and want to pursue her more.

"You're so cute when you're mad.", she just continued to glare daggers at me more. Then, the panda introduced him as Po and the tiger as Tigress - pretty ironic if you ask me. After a few minutes, a red panda then came inside the room. I assumed that he was Master Shifu.

"Ah, so you're awake now. What is your name?", he asked

"Prin-... Huo...," I hesitated. I wasn't about to tell them my identity and get caught by the guards. I was actually thankful for once that my identity was always sealed back when my family were still alive. I always hated to be put in the shadow of my family, especially of my older sister because of her growing fame, but now at least no one knows who am I now and where I came from so I can't be caught.

Shifu then offered me to join them for breakfast. I was hungry so I followed them into the kitchen/dining room where we ate lunch. After we ate, Shifu asked if I would like to join them spar in the Training Hall. I haven't trained in a proper training area, so I followed them off to the Training Hall. Shifu complimented that I was really good in kung-fu as he watched me train.

"Well, I do train for kung-fu, taekwando, and karate.", I added.

~ time skip ~

When night came, we had dinner. Well, all of us seemed to be getting along well except for Tigress who seemed to have a serious yet irritated look plastered upon her face. Then we started to play Truth or Dare. I hated that game with a passion. Whenever me, Lin, and Bingling played it, Bingling would always dare me to do something embarrassing or disgusting. I was offered to start the game first, but I turned it down so Po went first.

"Huo, I dare you to kiss Tigress.", I could see from my line of vision that Tigress was sending him a death glare.

"Easy," was my answer.

Tigress' pov:

When I heard Po dare Huo to kiss me, I sent him a the most meancing death glare I could come up with. 'That idiot,' I thought. In a flash Huo wss able to pin me to the wall, my hands above my head, and he took the dare and kissed me. I stiffened a bit and suddenly rage started to fill within me. Not only that her was intruding in my personal space, but he was also stealing my first kiss!

Immediately, I pushed him away and then rubbed my lips with the back of my hand, growling and baring my teeth at him. I don't know if I saw right, but I could see hurt in his eyes. I then stormed off to the Training Hall to think.

Huo's pov:

I felt hurt when Tigress pushed me away and stormed off. It felt like she was taking my heart along with her and it also felt like the searing pain I felt when Lin and Bingling died. Though I didin't show the others how I felt and we went on with the game. After some time passed Monkey gave me a question that made my heart squeeze and ache since I had picked truth instead of dare.

"Huo, who do you like better? Tigress or Viper?"

"Tigress," I simply answered before yawning and stretching my arms above my head. "Well, I'm tired. I'm going to go to bed now." I headed off to my room and plopped down on my bed as soon as I closed the door. I frowned and curled up into a fetal position, squeezing my aching heart. Now that I had found my mate only for her to push me away, I felt broken, lost even. 'I have to apologize to her.', I thought last before sleep started to take over.

Tigress' pov:

I was at the Training Hall punching the adversary there and taking out all my anger on it. 'Stupid Huo! Stupid Po! Stupid everything!', I growled in my head as I grunted with every forceful punch and kick I made on the adversary. 'I don't know why Huo would be so bold to kiss me anyways. And why do I feel this way for him!? I hate him!', I thought to myself. But then I think again and think back to the kiss. His lips were rough on mine and tasted of the dinner we ate. I had only managed to get a little taste of him from the little second he got in kissing me.

I stopped punching the adversary and stood still, my shoulders a bit stiff. I could feel my heart flutter a bit at the memory of him kissing me. Maybe I want another taste, or maybe it's just me being fascinated by him being another tiger like me.

But I don't deny that I have a small growing attraction towards Huo...
