The capital Of Kingdom, Relic

Time was the real enemy.

That was the only thought that went through the young mind of a particular student. He was surrounded by rows of high ranking Mages and Warriors. They stared at him with high expectations. The student shuddered under the gaze of Luder Flown, one of the higher ranking judges in the room.

The student could not help but admire his rough appearance. It truly symbolized the years of his adventures as a warrior in Relic. Everybody wanted to be him.

The student shook his head. It wasn't the time to be admiring someone. He had put all of his stakes on this occasion. If he screwed up this one opportunity, all of his years in training would have gone to waste. Plus, he would've looked like a total moron in front of all of these high ranking judges.

The student focused his attention on the target in front of him. It would be a better option to analyze it before starting any rash movements.

The creature was nearly 4 meters tall. It had black, rough fur sticking out at the end of it's skin. Its' face was like an ape, but its' body of a bird. In one hand was a wooden sword. To outsiders who were foreign to the Kingdom, Relic, they would have dismissed this beast as harmless considering the value of the weapon they used. However, these beasts weren't so simple. If they truly were, he wouldn't have had such a difficult time with it.

These creatures were known as Dfraro after an unknown tribe discovered its existance decades ago. Dfaros had distinct features that made them stand out from several beasts.

First, they were able to utilize dull weapons to B rank.

In this world, weapons were based on their rankings from S-F.

S-Legendary
A-Rare
B-Advanced
C-Common
F-the lowest
(these include kitchen knives)

As of today, only 5 S class weapons are being carefully handled in the world. They were placed under tight security to ensure that the weapon would not be stolen. There was only one man he knew that possessed such treasures. It was Luder, the man he unintentionally stared at.

B class weapons are produced in factories. Each country had there own center.

An A class weapon was also hard to come across. There were 20 in total and 10 have been distributed in the hands of powerful adventures.

Dfraros are commonly used in war to reserve resources for future causes. It wasn't a bad idea, but many opposed to it because Dfaros aren't exactly loyal either. They could betray its master at any given time. Likewise, it was hard to tame one.

The second ability they had included the use of three particular spells:

~[Flight]: An ability that allows the caster to fly in the air, defying gravity itself.

~[H.Reg Level 3]: Allows the user to access self-regeneration.

(Skills are gauged from levels 1 to 10. 1 being the least and 10 for legendary. The most common tier for humans were 2. Likewise, reaching 5 was extremely advanced and anything above are rumored in fairy tales.)

~[Shred]: A passive ability that literally "shreds" either dead or damaged skin and create a new defense layer. However, the process was slow. This ability is a level 3 cast.

The student had done research for ways to counter attack such monsters. However, these forums were taken down from the center to prevent spying from other countries.

He sighed. In truth, he could only summon level 2 abilities. Reaching level 3 has yet to be possible.

It didn't matter. Why was he thinking such complicated things? These thoughts were a detriment for victory.
