"Are you jealous?"
I scoffed. "No, I'm not jealous. He's my faithful boyfriend, he's not idiot. Well at least not most of the time..."
Hadley nodded her head in agreement. "That girl doesn't even compare to you. You're gorgeous."
I smiled, her comment cheering me up a little.
"Thanks."
The next day, I invited Hadley to go to the mall. We needed some new clothes so of course the first store we go to is Forever 21.
I look around for a while, I even tried on things, until I found the perfect dress. It was teal maxi dress. I topped it off with some white heels.
"That is so cute!" Hadley exclaimed. "Thanks! Yours is too!"
Hadley was wearing a white top and a black skirt and white heels identical to mine.
As she was looking for some jewelry, I went to pay, and ironically I bumped into Meredith.
"Hi, Isla." She smiled.
I shot a quick fake smile and looked the other way.
"That's a pretty dress. It suits you."
Why was she being nice to me?
"Thanks..."
"No problem. Hey! I wanted to invite you and Hadley to this..party tonight. Wanna come?"
I raised my brow. First a compliment, now an invitation to a party? Something weird was going on.
"Sure, we'll go." I finally said.
"Cool! Here's the address and my number in case you get lost or something. I'll see you there!" She handed me a torn piece of paper and skipped off.
